Description

La Taillede is an ancient Catalan hill farm, situated at 1000m altitude with stunning views of the Vallespir and down to the Mediterranean sea on a clear day. La Taillede is an ecological organic farm. We have many animals, a large vegetable garden, and a large workshop and woodworking department (away from the gites).

Gite Noisette is perfect for a couple or friends ; The beds can be made up as large singles (90cms wide) or a super king double. A cot and high chair is also available for couples with a baby/infant.

The apartment measures 50m², with a large open kitchen/living room/dining room and roomy, high pressure showers. There is a sauna and cold plunge pool right next door for your private use.

The pool (12 metre x 6 metres) will be completed by Spring 2021; photos soon!

There is a wood burning stove, wifi internet, and a television which is connected to the main system, with hundreds of movies and tv programs to watch, or access your Netflix account. However, most guests would prefer to be exploring the mountains or just taking in the incredible view!

All the built in cupboards in the kitchen & bathroom, ceiling beams, lintels and beds are made out of chestnut from our forest, sawn at La Taillede, made and fitted by us with love!

Gite Noisette shares an entrance hall with Gite Cerise, which is almost identical and the large South facing terrace with a fire pit in front of the house. These apartments are perfect for 2 couples or friends who want their own space but enjoy a little social time too, or for groups who would like to use both apartments.

Please note; for 2020 to respect social distancing, if you rent Gite Noisette, there will be no one in Gite Cerise. Gite Cerise is available for anyone who books Gite Noisette for half price.

Getting around

As we are a fairly remote farm, the only way to reach us is by having your own car.

Interaction with guest

There is always someone here to answer questions, to give recommendations etc. Social activities will not take place in 2020 due to social distancing but you can still visit the animals and all areas around the property. During the summer, we organise activities for our guests which you are free to join in on or not, at no extra cost. Once per week in the summer, we invite all our guests to have dinner with us in our garden. We light the fire pit, the kids toast marshmallows and everyone gets together; always fun. We have a boules competition by the playground once a week; bring your own apero. Matt offers to do guided hike per week for anyone who would like to go, and one day will also take the donkeys on a trek with picnics.

How do damage deposits work?
