Description
Maison La Roche Gîte is a cute two bedroom stone cottage with private pool, located close to the River Vienne across the river from beautiful L'isle Jourdain. Please note we do offer a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom option in July and August only, please contact us for further details.
Maison La Roche is Perfect for couples, friends or small families with a well equipped kitchen and living room with UK and French TV. There is a shower room downstairs with toiletries and towels provided.
Bedroom1 is downstairs with a Kingsize Bed.
Bedroom 2 upstairs is a spacious family sized bedroom offering a Kingsize Bed and single bed.
All linens are provided and included in the price.
Free Wifi throughout. French and UK TV.
Kitchen is well equipped for cooking including a dishwasher with various essentials provided to help make your stay as comfortable as possible such as herbs, spices, oil, sugar, salt etc. Although there is no washing machine in the Gite, you do have access to a washing machine.
There is a private plunge pool in the fully fenced garden just across the quiet residents lane with sun loungers, large dining area under a pergola, BBQ, and various seating areas on or around the large wooden terrace with views towards the River Vienne, perfect for unwinding and relaxing.
We are Dog friendly at Maison La Roche and the cottage suits up to two small to medium well behaved dogs. Well behaved children aged 5 years and over are also welcome (please note as the two bedrooms are on different floors we do not recommend the Gite for toddlers however we leave this up to you, we do provide stair gates if needed).
The cottage is located a short walk from L'isle Jourdain just across the River Vienne via the spectacular 19th century Viaduct or past the Fabulous L'isle Fort on the lower flower lined bridge. It is also a handy 4km from the International Racing Circuit Val de Vienne in Le Vigeant which is busy throughout the year.
There are two restaurants within just a 200 metre walk from the Gite another 500 metres from the Gîte looking out towards the spectacular Viaduct and a couple more just across the river in L'isle Jourdain centre where you will also find a supermarket, bakery, banks, post office, vets, tabac etc.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and clean air walking or take a mountain bike ride (with an experienced guide who also provides the bikes). We also endeavour to have a couple of bikes available for Guest's use when possible.
There are many action activities for the adventurous and the energetic including bungee jumping, zip lining, adventure climbing course and more within walking distance which is excellent.
Kayaking and stand up paddle boards during the summer just a short walk from the Gîte and in the nearby village of Moussac for much of the spring and autumn also.
