Ideal for family vacations and for small groups attending a wedding in Lough Rynn, our house has been consistently rated with 5 Stars since we opened our doors in 2016. Located in the stunning grounds of Lough Rynn Castle Hotel, we are the ideal choice for weddings and other functions at the hotel as well as family vacations in beautiful Leitrim.

Lough Rynn Castle Hotel Weddings

If you are attending a wedding or other function in Lough Rynn Castle, we are less than 2 minutes walk from the Castle. Super convenient for popping back between church and reception, or to change your shoes for dancing! If you are bringing young children, we can also arrange babysitting with advance notice. There's ample parking available too.

Holidaying in Ireland

If you are looking for an idyllic rural holiday with stunning natural scenery, plenty of local interest and above all, a true escape from city/town living, our house is ideal. Peaceful and quiet, with a wonderful dawn chorus from the bird filled trees surrounding the Castle (if you are awake that early!). You have lakeside strolls and the ornamental gardens of the Castle on your doorstep, less than an hour's scenic driving to sights as diverse as the Glencar Waterfall or the Arigna Mines, and stunning gourmet food in nearby Carrick-on-Shannon's wonderful eateries. Not to mention the Castle on your doorstep for great bar food and their special Afternoon Tea experience if you fancy staying closer to home.

Our house sleeps up to 6/7. We have 2 generous double bedrooms, and 1 bunk room with an additional single pull out. There's ample free parking on the road, with two parking spaces adjacent to the house.

Got a Pet?

We welcome your pet dog with advance notice, and no extra charge. All we ask is that you keep them downstairs and off the furniture...

DOWNSTAIRS

The property is a 3 bedroom, semi-detached house. There is a spacious entrance hall and large downstairs WC which is wheelchair accessible by law in Ireland. (Please note the house is two storey with stairs).

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including an iron/ironing board, full dishwasher, microwave, four ring hob and oven and a fridge freezer. All utensils, cutlery, crockery and pots are also provided and there is gas fired central heating, and a full fridge freezer.

We have a spacious living/dining room with TV and gas fire. The dining table seats 8 people comfortably. Patio doors open out to the communal green space to the rear of the property - ideal for children to play safely.

The house is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with two parking spaces adjacent to the property. A gate at the end of the cul-de-sac (seconds from the house), brings you into the grounds of Lough Rynn Castle. The Conference & Banqueting rooms (weddings) are less than 2 minutes walk from the house.

UPSTAIRS

Upstairs you have a main bathroom with electric shower and bathtub, two spacious double bedrooms (one ensuite with electric shower), and a bunk room with an extra single pull out bed. There is ample storage space in each bedroom, and plenty of room for travel cots if needed. We can provide a travel cot and a high chair on request.

The double rooms are also equipped with hairdryers, and all bed linens and towels are provided.

Please note we do not have wifi - the reception in the area is very poor generally, even in the hotel. So the 'digital detox' is free!

Getting around

Public transport is very limited so a car really is essential if you are holidaying in Leitrim. We are less than 2 hours drive from both Dublin Airport and from Knock Airport in Galway. Leitrim is a wonderful base for exploring rural and coastal North West Ireland - Roscommon, Sligo and even Mayo are well within reach for day trips. Nearby Longford has a train station (15 minutes drive), and we provide local taxi numbers in the house. If you require a 7 seater cab or 10 seater minibus please let us know in advance and we can give you numbers.

Once you book you will receive details of whom to contact for checking in and collecting keys. We have a local contact available throughout your stay if you have any queries, or issues. We can also arrange additional requirements from babysitting to a 7 or 10 seater taxi/minibus with advance notice.

“Castle Grounds”

This is a very nice spacious, clean, warm, convenient house in grounds of Lough Rynn, just a few minutes walk from Castle, where we attended a wedding. The owner was very nice and helpful.
