'Le Moinea' Chambre is part in the beautiful 18th century Moulin du Fontcourt Chambre d'Hotes Watermill set in its own grounds in the Charente region.

Le Moineau chambre has views over the courtyard and front gardens of the Moulin. It is a character bedroom available for two people with an en suite bathroom and King size bed.The chambre has lofted beamed ceilings, wardrobes, draws, bedside tables, lamps, safety deposit box and use of guest lounge. Prices include Continental breakfast.Free Parking, free Wifi

The gardens of the Moulin comprise of four islands intersected by the La Bonnieure river and small tributaries have an abundance of birdlife and river wildlife. It is of particular interest to Artists and Photographers or guests who will appreciate the history, character and grandeur of the property and surrounds or those simply wishing to relax in the warm Charentais sun .

Moulin du Fontcourt Chambre d'Hotes of which offers the delightful 'Le Moineau'' chambre is within a short walking distance of Chasseneuil sur Bonnieure Town which has a number of bistro's, Cafes & Restaurants, a good variety of shops and services and a proud history of 'Resistance' during WW11.

The Town was historically important as a key crossing point during the time of the Roman Empire for travel across the regions of France and onward through to Europe and beyond. Some traces of the roads the Romans built remain around the Town today. Continuing its links with ancient times the area remains a perfect location for touring South West France, its beautiful villages, historical sights, superb coastlines and many other attractions.

The area is very easy to get around. Quiet country roads and a good mix of major, but not overly busy, roads are nearby. The town has been well known since Roman times, 2000 years ago, as a major crossing route in France and stopping point for much of the continent. Visitors find that, just as the Romans did, the go in any direction will bring you out into the major cities and historical sights and coasts of South West France.
