Description
The villa is split over two levels. The ground floor is made up of a double height living area (with a high end 55'' 4K satellite TV+ Netflix+ surround sound system), a dining room suitable for up to 8 guests, a kitchen with marble countertop, a guest bathroom and one bedroom with two single beds.
The ground floor is completely transparent, exhibiting an 11 m. wide sliding window system, removing the need for enclosures. A suspended steel and glass staircase leads to the upper floor with an opening- ventable skylight along it, expanding upwards towards the sky. The upper floor has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a private terrace. Each bedroom is equipped with a flat TV and a wardrobe. An extensive use of glass even in bathroom walls, gives a wonderful sense of transparency. Vast floor to ceiling openings bring the exquisite garden pool area view into the house, while an infinity pool extends the living room towards the garden area.
The outside areas are an extension of the house with various sitting including sun loungers, BBQ and dining area. At night, the space is lit up inside and out, exhibiting openness and clarity,characteristics that represent contemporary architecture at its best. The design with no boundaries intends to epitomize a minimalistic, yet very functional and luxurious living with nothing left to strip away.
Location:
As the villa is located in the area of Agioi Apostoloi, you can visit the beach within a small walking distance. The beaches in the area are organized and you will find many facilities, as well as taverns, cafes and shops.
Agioi Apostoloi village is located 4 km west of Chania and it is a waterfront village, named by a small church called Agioi Apostoloi. Agioi Apostoloi church is situated on the top of the peninsula. Nearby there are three lovely beaches with clear, shallow waters, perfect for swimming and also safe for children. There are also sport facilities and a famous beach bar , the Inguana. One of the beaches of the Agioi Apostoloi is called the Golden Beach (chrissi akti) due to the incredible color of its sand.
In Agioi Apostoloi village and Golden Beach waterfront you can find many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars as well as a small park used mainly for jogging and picnic. The waterfront of the Agioi Apostoloi (park included) is under preservation by the authorities and therefore there is still some green space next to the sea. Moreover, the Chania Old Town is in a very short distance from the villa with many different choices for food, entertainment, and shopping.
Chania, the capital of West Crete, is only 30 minutes’ drive and has a beautiful Venetian Harbour with a fascinating history. Wander through the many narrow lanes filled with Venetian, Turkish and Byzantine style buildings. You can also find all the facilities and amenities that you would expect of a modern city with fine restaurants, bars, clubs, live music, traditional harbor side taverns and fashionable shops.
