Description

Oceanus is a luxury seafront villa in the premier area of Craigmore, approximately one mile from Rothesay. The property has a sitting room, a formal dining room and a superb kitchen and open-plan family dining area. There is also a south-facing conservatory and a shower-room downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master suite has a king-size bed and a fantastic en-suite with bath and separate powerful shower. There is also a further shower room upstairs, shared by the two twin bedrooms. All bedrooms have high thread count white bed-linen. Now with free wifi.

We have a second king bedroom upstairs which can be made available at an additional cost. We also have a downstairs twin bedroom, which is very suitable for anyone with a mobility impairment. The downstairs shower-room is next door which makes it even more convenient. Again, this room can be made available at an additional cost, please ask us for details. We can provide a cot, at no extra charge, but do not provide cot bed linen.

There is a terrace at the front of the house with magnificent sea views, and a private patio at the rear with a chiminea.

Craigmore is a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the sea-front promenade to the town centre of Rothesay where you will find many shops, bars and restaurants.

Getting around

The best way to explore the island at your own pace is by car, however we do understand that not all guests wish to bring their car on holiday. There is a reliable bus service which travels from Kilchattan Bay at the south of the island up to Rhubodach at the north. All buses travel through the town and Port Bannatyne and there are bus stops located just outside Oceanus. There are also buses which take you to Ettrick Bay where you can also enjoy lunch or coffee at the café. During the summer season the bus service also runs to Mount Stuart house. During the summer there is also a City Sightseeing bus, which is a hop on - hop off service, that tours around the island frequently.

Interaction with guest

Guests will be provided with contact details of the agents who manage the property, Jacqueline's Property Services. Shortly before your holiday is due to commence, tripadvisor will send guests a Welcome Pack which includes check-in instructions as well as directions to the property. On your arrival day, a member of the team will meet you at the property to hand over keys and to show you around the property and will be able to answer any questions you may have in regards to the property. Although we don't anticipate you having any issues during your stay, should you experience any problems or simply have a question, guests are encouraged to contact us on the details provided.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
