Description
“Pistoulet” cottage was built in 1850 in the village of Lagor . The village has kept its heritage and still retains a country feel with all amenities close by.
Australia has been my adopted home since 1986, but part of me has never left the Pyrenees . We had been on the look-out for a special place to call home and we fell in love with “Pistoulet” and were lucky enough to make it ours. Adding our own touch was important and to make it a comfortable home was essential.
The Béarn region is full of history and character and has so much to offer to holiday makers. The mountains, the sea, Spain and the Basque region are situated at your door step. The regional gastronomy is one of France 's best.
Downstairs you will find a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, glassed verandah, separate toilet, bathroom and one bedroom. From the glassed verandah there is a view of the Pyrenees over the garden. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet. Parking is available at the front of the house inside the courtyard.
The major historical town of Pau, only half an hour away, was the birth place of King Henry the 4th and has an airport and railway station.
