Description
Step back in time into the Kingston Homestead, a renovated 1900's homestead only a stones throw from the shores of Lake Wakatipu. With it's wood paneling and high ceilings, this house exudes relaxed southern history and charm.
Located in the charming and quiet village of Kingston, only 30 minutes scenic drive south of Queenstown airport and only 25 minutes away from bottom of the Remarkables Ski field, the house is surrounded by mountain and lake views.
With diesel fired radiators in every room and a modern wood burner in the lounge, this house is toasty warm on even the coldest nights. For the warm summers evening, there is a deck at the front of the house overlooking the mountains and lake and a sunny BBQ area at the back of the house perfect for catching the last of the evening sun.
Each room is individually decorated and includes many items of New Zealand rimu furniture with Super King luxury beds that can be split into King Singles, if required. We also supply all linen, NZ toiletries, a hairdryer and fluffy towels in each room.
The house is fully equipped with a sitting room with a modern wood burner fire, magazines, books and games, a large dining room and adjoining kitchen and a separate laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and clothes drying racks. Outside, there's a front deck and a rear BBQ area, all set in 2000m2 of grounds. There are many relaxing spaces to enjoy and unwind and the lakeside walks are only a stroll away.
Your knowledgeable host will ensure you are able to spend your time as relaxed or energetically as you wish. There is plenty to do in Kingston, from strolling by the lake, hiking into the surrounding Eyre Mountains, cycling the Around the Mountains Cycle Trail, or even playing golf.
