A magical location near Rethymno !
Sheltered by its high walls, the villa, as its garden and its swimming pool, offer a breathtaking view of Psiloritis Mountains and the Aegean Sea. Set in the village of Maroulas, it is just 5 minutes from some of the most beautiful beaches. The nearly 400 m² architectural interior has been elevated to a high level of comfort and beauty to satisfy its customers: stone arches, vaults, tunnels, a professional equipped kitchen, giant screen television, audio equipment and a mezzanine with a work space and Internet/Wi-Fi Access.
The spacious villa has 4 bedrooms, (including two familial bedrooms with mezzanine), each one with its own bathroom. Moreover, one of the bedrooms also has its former fireplace.
A laundry with a washing machine and a dryer is also at your disposal.
The exterior is also in harmony with the environment: you will enjoy a 60 m² terrace with deck-chairs, sunshades and sofa's and admire the stunning view of the Aegean Sea.
Last but not least, you will be able to organize your barbecues along the pool.

“Sinatra was right, this is Unforgettable!!!”
I can't express how delightful this place is!!! If you are looking for something special, this is the place! The villa is a historic building restored to preserve authenticity but with all modern amenities! And the great design that incorporated Venetian arches with a glass staircase is fantastic touch! You don't need to worry about the beach, it's within 3km from the eagle's nest. But how often y find such a view...its amazing! The owner, Christian is a fantastic host! He can advise you on local traditions, tours, weather and even cooking!!! I wish him the best to keep this uniuqe place open for all of us to experience the best of Crete! Thank you for making my stay such an unforgettable Cretan experience!

“Séjour exceptionnel dans un lieu d'exception!”
Voilà la deuxième fois que je reviens à la villa Candide Et c'est à chaque fois le meme émerveillement! Il est si bon de lézarder au bord de la magnifique piscine avec cette vue sur la mer à couper le souffle. La villa est spacieuse, typique et avec tout le confort nécessaire! Sans oublier notre hôte Christian qui accueille ses clients toujours avec le meme optimisme! Un séjour de rêve donc Et qui sait... jamais deux sans trois!

“Paradise on Crete”
Everything about this place is wonderful, the pool and the views are magnificent, I stayed here with friends for a week and only one word described our feelings for that place!! AMAZING! Christian the host is really friendly and helpful and knows the area really well so can give you lots of tips on the best beaches to see and things to do in the area. The house and beds are really comfortable with an amazing open plan kitchen dinner. I cant wait to come back here and visit again next year, highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Crete.

“Unique villa in a beautiful area.”
Based in an authentic venetian time village by Rethymno (Maroulas), Villa Candice is a beautiful villa where luxury, confort, space, quietness and security give you the pleasure to fully enjoy every moment of your holiday. Christian, the owner, welcomes you very nicely ; he makes sure that you feel immediately "at home". For cooking lovers, the kitchen is a real pleasure with professional equipment. Outside, the view is unique on lands and the sea. The swimming pool and the pool house invite you to relax days and nights. Villa Candice was an unforgetable little paradise on earth for the whole family this summer. We are already planning to go back next summer.

Response from the owner Mr Freeman, that we have met the day before his departure, told us that our property was more than a five stars property. When, after his departure, we discover and collect more than 400 cigarets tubs in all the inside and outside flowers pots of the property and that he would not be welcomed anymore, (he should not be allowed to rent any property as his stay was a disaster for our flowers.) , he wrote this revieuw..at his image !!
