Description

This character gite is in the hamlet of La Fage , Anglars St Felix and is a 180 year old converted barn which retains it's character and charm with exposed beams, natural stone and a log wood burner.

It is surrounded by beautiful open countryside and is the perfect place to unwind and explore.

This detached character gite with private terrace is set in the heart of the Aveyron countryside and yet only an 8 minute drive from the shops and cafes of the market village of Rignac.

I have furnished the gite tastefully and decorated it to a give a homely feel and with your comfort in mind, and I know that cooking is probably not on the top of your list but I have equipped the kitchen with everything you should need should you become fed up with being waited on in the local restaurants

Both double bedrooms have vaulted ceilings and downstairs the living/kitchen area is open plan with two double doors leading onto your private patio with barbecue where you can sit out on a warm evening and barbecue until your hearts content.

The lounge also has exposed beams and a glass fronted wood burner ideal for those chilly winter breaks.

I have provided the gite with a cool box and picnic service if you prefer to eat outside. Sun loungers are also provided and you have two gardens, one for sunbathing and reading in and if all that relaxing in the sun gets a bit too much you could always eat your lunch on the picnic bench under your willow tree in your other garden.

The biggest decision you will have to make all week is which garden to sit in.

There is also a children's playpen, cot and highchair available if required just to make life just a little easier!

“Beautiful accommodation both inside and out.”

This was one of the, if not the, best equipped, most comfortable and cleanest gites we have ever stayed at. The quality of the furnishings and utensils and the attention to detail were superb. We took full advantage of the outdoor areas and the excellent barbecue. Sun on the patio till around 4.30 and in the gardens till 7pm. Although we didn't need to sit indoors we could imagine a cosy autumnal evening on the comfy sofas in front of the log burner. The little town of Rignac, about 10 mins drive away, has 2 supermarkets, butcher, baker and a couple of restaurants. We especially loved the stunning village of Belcastel just a 15 minute drive from the gite.Lynne and Gary were perfect hosts. Just next door if needed but totally unobtrusive. Their welcome gift of wine and home made cakes was an especially nice touch. All in all we had a fabulous week here.
