“Beautiful tranquil setting with a warm and friendly reception.”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2018

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were made to feel extremely welcome. The accommodation is very comfortable with thoughtful provision for all kinds of weather and activities. The view across the Loch which greeted us every morning was inspirational. There is plenty to do and see in the area particularly if you like walking. The Hill House at Helensburgh is definitely worth a visit, although the Box had not been constructed when we were there and much of the furniture had been removed. But this was more than made up for by the excellent exhibition of C R Mackintosh's life and work at The Lighthouse in Glasgow which was free. Loch Lomond is not far and the scenery of The Rosneath and Cowal Peninsulas is spectacular. We would recommend the Botanical Gardens at Benmore to anyone interested in trees and plants especially in June when the rhodadendrons are in bloom.
