A beautifully converted 1 bedroom gite.

Set within an ¨Old Textile Factory¨ once supplying the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Yves Saint Laurent. The apartment opens onto beautiful secure gardens of 3 acres. Great for couples with or without young children. Barbeque & fresh water plunge pool. The gardens are always filled with the sounds of the local birdlife, resident sparrow hawks and owls.u

The factory is next to ancient woodland and the GR7 walking, cycling & mountain biking route. 10 minutes to the cathedral market town of St Pons de Thomieres and 2 minutes to the bakeries and shops of Labastide Rouairoux.

We can accommodate visiting friends with tents with prior notice.

We are a family of 5 who live in a part of the converted factory . There are 3 acres of gardens - with plunge pool, trampoline and camping area ( fire-pit & tents set up) . We love having visitors and want you to have a great stay,

We are unable to take pets, we do however have three friendly dogs.

“Chilled out holiday in rural Tarn region”

My daughter (age 16) and I stayed here for a week this August. We were the first guests, so were excited and also a bit nervous. But owners Simon and Lara were just so welcoming, we felt at home from the very beginning! The gite is on the ground floor of their (enormous) home - which is an old textile factory. The double doors lead straight out onto the garden, so every morning we just opened the front doors and had gorgeous sunshine flooding into our room! The floors are tile, so they felt really cool as the temperatures got up to 34C - which for us northerners is a bit hot! The walls are really thick, so it kept the heat out. My daughter was impressed with the wi-fi! Labastide-Rouairoux is a small town, mainly on a high street. It has everything you would need including a great Spar. The local deli's and bakers are totally recommended. We did a lot of walking and got some ideas from Simon as where we should/could go. One thing I must say is that you definitely need a hire car, although possible everyone does this anyway as it's a drive from the airport. We flew into Beziers so the drive to the house was probably about 50 minutes or so. There's a lovely village up the road called St Pons, the weekly market there was just great! Sorry we missed the Textile Festival as I hear that is great fun!! We loved the Textile Factory museum, really fascinating insight into fabric production. Thanks again for all your help and big hugs to the dogs - we're missing them!!! Emma and Charlotte xx
