Response from the owner The renting of bed linen + towels and final cleaning of house are two optional packs. Our hosts are fully free to book none of them or one of them. We want to keep lowest rates as possible for our hosts. Everything is detailed on web site and in the renting contract. We send also reminders when our host forget to feedback to check if packs are booked or not. Regarding mices, a specialist came and checked immediately. No mices were there but there were young bats nests under the roof. Bats are protected animals. We thank you for all and hope to see you soon again.

“Perfect holiday house”
Fantastic location, quite but not isolated and perfect for exploring the various sights the local area has to offer. The house itself has spacious rooms that have been furnished to a very good standard and a well equipped kitchen, indeed it probably the best equipped house we have stayed in. The garden is huge and enclosed making it both very private and secure for the children. The play equipment is an added bonus and the heated pool is fantastic. Outside the large terrace area benefits from both being in the sun all day and having shade provided by either a retractable awning or a beautiful old tree. Located approx. 1 mile from the town just off a very quite road, this property is within easy reach of local amenities.

“Fabulous Cottage”
A lovely Cottage that is a perfect base to explore the beautiful Dordogne. Our 3 kids loved the pool and the garden and loved the holiday. We all had the best time and having such a great cottage to come home to made all the difference. Would love to stay here again.

“Magnifique”
Hubby and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at this property, what a wonderful time we had. La Girode is a gem, offering seclusion, privacy and peace and quiet. We completely relaxed and de- stressed; having the use of a private pool was brilliant too. It's also an ideal place for a young family with the extensive grounds and pool, along with a wooden climbing apparatus, children have a safe space to play. This was our first holiday in France and we weren't disappointed the Dordogne region is fabulous as is La Girode we hope one day to return to both.

“Amazing Gite, In A Beautiful Setting”
I stayed here with my girlfriend and two of my friends. We decided to book La Girode because of the great location, the picturesque setting and the fantastic garden. Arrival was simple, and the managing agent arranged for us to collect keys even though we arrived on an evening Ryanair flight on a Saturday. Bergerac airport is about 1 hour drive, and the gite easily found with GPS. The beds were comfy, the kitchen perfectly equipped to cook meals at home, and with a BBQ on the patio you have a perfect combination! The swimming pool is warm enough to use on overcast days, and the garden big enough to play rounders, ball games and hide and seek! Access to a Carrefour local is approximately 1km away, with adequate supply of beer, wine and food. The local village bakery is fantastic for fresh bread and croissants. Access to many of the sites and attractions of the Dordogne are on the door step, make sure you visit Rouffignac Cave, and Canoeing on the local rivers is a great day out! We very much hope to re visit again sometime!
