Description
Foxgloves is a bright and stylish holiday home, with a lovely enclosed garden. We are in Carbis Bay, one mile from St Ives, and its beautiful beaches.
This is a spacious and convenient bungalow, with a private parking place right outside the front door, and your own private garden at the rear.
Families or couples will find this an ideal base for their holiday in West Cornwall.
Our housekeepers have introduced a new cleaning procedure during the Covid pandemic. This means that we have removed some of the soft furnishings and changed our checking in and out times to give housekeepers more time to work safely. We will share details of these procedures with you before your arrival.
The property is centrally heated. The home is stylish but cosy: using a mix of modern and vintage furnishings and many original art works.
There is a large, well equipped fitted kitchen / dining room.
The two bedrooms have double and twin beds. All of the mattresses are brand new and very comfortable. There is a family bathroom, and a second WC.
For your entertainment there is a Smart TV, DVD, unlimited WiFi, a DAB radio. You will also find an interesting supply of novels, games, DVDs, guides to Cornwall, and a full set of Ordnance Survey maps – to use during your holiday.
The homely and comfortable living room looks out to the garden. The garden is planted with sub-tropical plants and you will find this a great place to relax. On the patio there is a large picnic table and also a separate bistro table and chairs. The garden catches the sun all afternoon and into the evening. If you need to rinse your wetsuits after a day on the beach there is a hose and washing line for the job.
All bed linen, tea towels, hand towels and bath towels are provided. You will need to bring your own beach towels.
A 3 minute walk down a leafy lane brings you to the main St Ives road. There is a convenience store and chemists here, and several good places to eat, including the wonderful ‘Becks’ fish and chip shop. A 10 minute walk down the hill takes you to the beautiful sands of Carbis Bay beach.
If you decide to leave the car at Foxgloves there are very frequent buses into St Ives from Carbis Bay (it is also a wonderful walk, if you feel energetic).
If you enjoy country walks then the coastal path to St Ives or Lelant is spectacular. The Pilgrims Way is close by, and there are also great views from nearby Trencrom Hill or take a picnic up to the Knill Monument and look out over St Ives Bay.

“Carbis Bay stay at Foxgloves”
We had a great stay at foxgloves. The bungalow was ideal for the four of us. It is conveniently located near to the railway stop at Carbis Bay, the beach and restaurants.

What a truly anazing place this is, The owners John and David have thought of everything from the thoughtful welcome basket to the milk and teabags for a well deserved cuppa when you arrive. Will definitely be booking this place again. Fantastic

“Fantastic”
The accommodation was just perfect, we walked to the beach most days. The bungalow has everything you would ever need abs very clean inside and spacious. The garden is beautiful with flowers and very safe.

“Beautiful holiday home”
A stunning property, stylishly furnished and stocked with everything you will need. A beautiful coastal walk into St Ives and ideally situated for days out across all of Cornwall. We’ve had the best, relaxing week and have booked to go back in May - we can’t wait! Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely home.

“Amazing bungalow”
What a lovely place to stay. Really cosy with lovely decor beds were so comfortable. Garden was really pretty and very well looked after. Lovely places to eat nearby. The bungalow was very well equipped with games and blankets for a rainy day. Carbis bay is lovely. We had an amazing holiday and really didn't want to leave foxgloves xx
