Cavern House Anthea is a unique property set in one of Santorini’s most peaceful, unspoilt and traditional villages; Exo Gonia. Accommodating 6 guests with indoor and outdoor facilities it is a perfect blend of location, comfort and convenience for your stay in Santorini.

Carved from volcanic rock, the original house dates back to 1840 has been lovingly restored in the traditional style and updated to an immaculate standard to ensure a comfortable and carefree stay for all guests.

Indoors this traditional Santorinian home comprises 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a large lounge with two built in sofas and a large dining area seating six people comfortably. Furnished with care and attention to detail with pieces chosen to compliment unique architectural style, the property features a fully equipped kitchen including all appliances, cutlery, crockery. Laundry facilities, linen and beach towels are provided. The lounge area features a flat screen tv, Netflix and a DVD player with a broad selection of films for those stay indoors nights.

The lounge and dining area opens directly to the courtyard and includes a barbecue with dining area accommodating 6 people as well as a built in outdoor sofa. The garden features various flowering plants, well maintained flower beds and a herb garden. Relax in the sun terrace above with a plunge pool, sun lounges and shaded area with a large L-shaped sofa which is perfect for snoozing any time of day.

It is sure to impress and allow you to slip effortlessly into island time while enjoying the panoramic views of the vine terraces of Profitis Ilias and the endless views across the Aegean to the island of Anafi and beyond as well as the amazing caldera sunset views just a few minutes away by car.

A car is recommended as the village is not on a main bus route. Taxis are available but can be difficult to find in the summer. You are also welcome to make your own arrangements directly with our driver.

Interaction with guest

Before you arrive, i am available to answer any questions you may have. Once you arrive, my villa manager will be available to advise of things to do, make restaurant reservations, arrange boat trips or any other activities you may want to do. He is also very knowledgeable of the island, so will be able to answer any questions you may have. He will also be contactable by telephone during your stay, in case you experience any problems, either at the villa or while you are out

If Sarah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
