La seule correction est que le propriétaire et l'agent sont fiers irlandais et très sympathiques!! We appreciate the comments and will endeavour to get more precise mapping location Be assured that we will improve sleeping comforts for 2021 We always believed the location was beautiful, quiet and still close to amenities and with lovely gardens- great to have a guest say this for us! “OK but not 5 star review”
The property is very spacious and the rooms are all good sizes. The pool area was lovely once we had cleaned all the outside furniture ourselves although the cushions for all the seats were filthy. The BBQs were very old and had certainly seen better days and again we had to clean them before we could use them. There were plenty of bikes to be used. A basketball hoop and table tennis (although this was also broken) but the kids (big and little had fun). There was a slide and swings (which again were broken). Lots of tennis rackets, cricket sets etc which were good fun. There is lots of outside space and lovely shaded areas too. The kitchen was a good size although no storage for food and was a constant outbreak of flies with no real fly deterrents in place so this made eating in the kitchen not very pleasant. Lots of chopped cups and glasses but very well stocked. The freezers were both frozen over and the fridges didn’t seem to keep food very cold so we wasted a lot of ice creams! The lounge wasn’t particularly clean and smelt very damp and musty but was a good size. Although we didn’t use this because of the smell. The bedrooms were all clean and spacious. Although they were very hot and not all of them had a working fan. The bathrooms were ok but dated. The plug didn’t work on the bath and the extractor fan didn’t work in the downstairs bathroom. The convenience of a tumble dryer and washing machine were a bonus. Although be warned don’t touch the rest of the towels in the box as the owners were not happy that we had used them although there was no note on them to say do not. Overall we made the most of the holiday but it was by no means the best property we have stayed in and certainly needs a bit of TLC.

Our aim is always to provide the best possible facilities etc for all the guests who visit our farmhouse. We thank you for acknowledging the many positives in your review Always there is a risk of something arising that is difficult to avoid happening and flies were once such problem in France this year with the very hot weather . As owners using the house during these times we have found that the "sticky pads", while not pretty, have been the most effective. Lastly it was with great regret that we applied to TripAdvisor for some compensation to offset some of the cost of replacing some damaged and broken items etc, which we are sure was not intentional. This is a first occasion as owners to have done so Again, thank you for the feedback.

“Excellent family home with (almost) everything on site you could wish for!”
This was our second visit to Anne-Marie's Farmhouse at Limort, having spent a great time here last year we wanted to spend more time exploring this wonderful part of France and revisiting those places we had enjoyed last time. There was everything on site that the grandchildren, aged one to fourteen years, could wish for - with the exception of a trampoline for them to tire themselves out even more! Eric, again proved to be an excellent on site agent for Anne-Marie & William, dealing with any problems efficiently and with no fuss. He was helpful when we had any questions and made us feel very welcome especially with a most welcome "welcome pack" - thank you!!

“Idyllic Family Farmhouse - The Best We Have Stayed In”
We spent two weeks at Limort in July 2016 having flown into Bordeaux. The house is located in a small sleepy rural village with two mid-sized towns (with Super-U stores) within 10 minutes in either direction. The house sits within a large site made up of a number of charming farm buildings, beautifully restored. The setting is idyllic. The house is very family friendly, with a well equipped kitchen and it was exceptionally clean and well presented throughout. The walls throughout are stone and the bedroom ceilings have the most amazing rustic timber beams that you will ever see. A small patio well equipped with outdoor furniture and bbq sits between the house and the fenced pool. An open sided barn serves the pool with table tennis, pool table and pool slide. Other barns on the property house pool toys, outdoor games and a full array of bikes for all sizes / ages. Kids will find plenty to do here. Outside of the house there are numerous country roads and dirt tracks which we found perfect for evening walks and for running in laps of various lengths. Further afield there is plenty to do on the region. We enjoyed trips to Cognac, Angouleme and made several visits to Niort which we particularly enjoyed. We have stayed in 4 French holiday homes in the last 5 years and this was by far the best in terms of setting and facilities. We are already planning a return visit this summer - the only place we have ever returned to. Finally, the advance information given by the host, Anne-Marie, couldn't have been more detailed and accurate. We found it immensely helpful as was the on site agent Eric who made us feel at home and very welcome from the day we arrived until the day we left. All in all we could not recommend this property highly enough.
