Our separate guest house is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of an island paradise vacation, while still located in the heart of Sarasota. The house is an historic Ralph Twitchell mid-century modern, completely remodeled with the latest amenities, 2000 sq. ft. open floor plan, walk-in showers, and gourmet kitchen. You'll enjoy water access with great fishing or sunbathing off our private dock with kayaks on quiet Robert's Bay, or mosey on down to the island beach. Private access to a world class tennis court, basketball goal, and your own heated swimming pool (see notes below), all of this in your backyard, on this exclusive island cul-de-sac makes the ambiance unbeatable. Every amenity you can imagine is available. We provide it all -- pack light!

This house is an historic Robert Twitchell home, newly renovated. It's now completely modern while maintaining the Frank Lloyd Wright style. You can read more about Ralph Twitchell on Wikipedia.
Tennis is played on the court from time to time and we have occasional college and professional players who take advantage of our beautiful court and setting. Guest are always welcome on and around the court during these practice sessions. And, allowed to freely use it when these sessions are not occurring.
Pool Notes: The private pool is heated and screened in. The pool is kept at 81℉. You will not have the option of changing this as anything above 81℉ is costly. If you want a warmer pool we can discuss this when you arrive. An additional daily fee will be required and the limit will be 88℉ depending on outside air temps. The heater has a safety feature and automatically shuts off when outside temperatures fall to below 50℉. Why? Because the heater's coolant cannot function properly at lower temps.
The Master Bedroom has a widescreen television with Apple TV4 Live TV. There is private high speed FIOS internet throughout the home.
This is a non-smokers home. If you smoke please find other accommodations. Smoking will not be tolerated in or around the property. You will be asked to leave without refund if smoking is detected or we discover that you or a guest is a smoker. Smoking in the home is not the only issue; It's carrying the smell through luggage and clothes into the home. This rule applies to all forms of smoking including e-cigs, vaping, hookah, etc. Any use of illegal drugs will be reported to the authorities. Medicinal Marijuana is not an exclusion to these smoking rules.
When you and/or your party rent this property you contractually agree to hold harmless the owners in the event of any loss, including but not limited to events that occur while using the kayaks, bikes, tennis court, basketball court, etc.

Response from the owner Little did we know that our mistake in double booking, that appeared to be a disaster, ended up being the best renting experience we've had to date. Kelly and her family we're so much fun to have around. Hard working women in this group, and good natured wonderful kids, made our Easter together memorable. We hope they return next year and we will be sure to screw up and double book them again. ;)
