Response from the owner Beautiful restored accommodation close to Tintagel. Unbeatable if you want to escape the traffic in the village and walk to the Castle, the High Street or the Coast Path. Everything can be reached within a quarter of an hour. The cottage is well equipped and quietly set back from the road, which is barely audible despite its proximity. The wifi is the fastest I've ever experienced in a vacation rental. Everything is available in the kitchen. The sofa in the living room is too soft for my taste, but the beds are good. A selection of games and DVDs is provided. The owners live next door and are always available to talk to should there be any questions. Thank you for your kind review it was really nice to have you both staying at the old barn

Fabulous spacious home with everything needed for a self catering holiday. Able to walk into tintagel town from accomodation. We will book again.

“Room for improvement”

I leave this review in the hope the owners make small adjustments and not in any way by means of a deterrent to other would be visitors. The owners are really nice, The barn is a lovely property in a beautiful location. Close to some great walks and history. Plus plenty of places to eat within a 10 minute walk into Tintagel it’s self. The interior of the barn is in need of TLC, just a good clean and lick of paint will do. The bed really wasn’t the greatest and we didn’t sleep well, but the bedroom isn’t quite big enough for a king size unless of course the wardrobe was perhaps replaced by a hanging rail. The shower isn’t the best but we managed to keep clean. Could do with some anti slip in the bath. The TV is Free view, with no BBC only full ITV and other Plus channels, just about found something to watch in the eves and when the weather wasn’t great. We have stayed in many properties and usually there is ample loo roll rather than just 2. Plus kitchen roll, salt and pepper, oven gloves. If this had been the case we would’ve happily replaced what we’d used or finished. Please don’t hesitate to stay here it is worth the trip and not in any way a bad experience.

Response from the owner Hi thanks for your review We are disappointed and upset hat you felt that you had to leave a 3 star review The barn had an extremely good clean before your arrival which I personally did ,due to the previous guests leaving it in an unsatisfactory condition so I personally do not accept this comment nor the comment regarding a lick of paint sorry to disagree with you If you look at our other recent reviews there are many that point out how clean and comfortable the place was while staying there The shower over the bath is an electric one which cannot be compared to one that is linked into a hot water system type The bed & mattress was replaced last season with a good quality product I accept the issue regarding the absent off bbc 1 which is difficult to tune into because of the area where the property is situated but all other channels are present, we are looking to resolve this issue Not sure how many loo rolls to leave for two guests ,being it is self catering accommodation Finally it is very easy to find fault with anything and is subjective

“Very clean and comfortable”

The barn is well located just a 10min walk into Tintagel with beautiful views and very quiet. The barn itself is well equipped for self catering and very clean. The bedding was fresh and the beds comfortable, also supplied towels. The extras such as washing up liquid, hand soap ,toilet rolls were great and the tea ,coffee,milk and chocolate treats were much appreciated after a long journey . Thank you Richard.
