“Best cottage we've stayed in” Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. Service very warm and friendly - made us feel very welcome. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a bowl of fruit was waiting for us on arrival - wonderful gesture, just what you need after a long journey. All four bedrooms were en-suite and the master bedroom was luxurious. Pub located fairly close and the local town wasn't too far away. Have already booked this cottage for our holiday next year.

“Comfortable, well-equipped and spacious” A group of family and friends with 3 small children, we found Craven House to have everything we needed. Plenty of bathrooms and ensuites, large well-equipped kitchen with aga. The house was well heated. In a good position for most things - Tesco literally round the corner, and the centre of Skipton an easy walk. Lovely park for the children within walking distance. Excellent pub for meals on the roundabout on the Keighly Road. Downside of going in March was nearby children's farms weren't open till april. Railway also restricted times then.

“Spacious Family accommodation, quiet village location” We, a Family party of 2 young grandchildren, 2 parents, and 4 grandparents, stayed at Laurel Bank Cottage in February 2013. The room sizes were well above average, the kitchen/diner could sit 12 comfortably, as could the lounge. The bedrooms were very spacious. Some outside space for the 2 young children was very welcome. The views around, from all windows, were spectacular. A moderate half-hour walk to Skipton, through the woods, was enjoyed by all. Super Family accommodation.

STREET HEAD FARM, luxury holiday cottage, with a garden in Lothersdale Near

Lothersdale house

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 3 bathrooms
  • sleeps 10

“Relaxing family holiday with friends” This was the third or fourth cottage booked through Sykes and came up to the previous high standards. Very good sleeping arrangements and well laid out living spaces. Only slight grumble was the lack of a "proper" garden for the kids to run riot in. Maybe a climbing frame or equivalent in one of the nearby spaces would work really well. Cottage is very well located for walks, towns for provisions, sightseeing etc. Almost too much to do in week - we'll have to go back again!

“Beautiful location, perfect cottage, true relaxation - bliss!” The cottage was first class, cosy and suited our needs completely. The owners were extremely welcoming and provided us with information about the area. Literature was also available in the cottage. The cottage had every implement you could wish for when cooking. We were fortunate enough to stay the last week in March when the country had very hot weather - early mini heatwave! We left the car most days and walked the Dales Way, over stiles, through the sheep and met lots of locals to chat with. Ilkley was lovely, beer cheap in Weatherspoons! We have already booked again for next year!

“Holiday base for two” Great location. Nicely equipped. Clean and comfortable. Split level, so up and down stairs a bit. Really nice to leave car behind and be able to walk out and about - town, canals, moors, woodland, etc. Skipton has some good places to eat, some good shops/market for a self-catering stay, and good public transport.

STABLES COTTAGE, family friendly, character holiday cottage, with a garden in
Lovely Stay

This was an excellent cottage which was very well equipped. It was an excellent location for both the Pennine Way and also the town of Todmorden which was within walking distance although it was a steep climb back! The Shepherds Rest pub was also within walking distance and this is a great pub with very good food. This cottage is based in Todmorden rather than Hebden Bridge. Todmorden is a very pleasant town.see more
