Description
The Art House is 145 m2/1560 ft in a 4.500 m2 plot, totally independent, and consists of two levels, each with its own entrance. As you enter from the main door on the ground floor there is a spacious open plan sitting room with a dining area for 6-8 persons. The sofas here are comfortable enough that can be used as beds in case of the occasional family’s extra guest. There is a library with a collection of art literature. Feel free to peruse here, learning more about Greek artists. The living area is spacious with whitewashed stone walls in traditional style plus attractive fabric and furnishings. Attached to the living area is a fully equipped kitchen offers numerous possibilities for the guests that would prefer cooking on their own for their family or friends.
There is also a guest WC.
One of the guest bedrooms is located on this floor and it features a dressing area and an en-suite bathroom with separate toilet (French style WC). The room has access to a private shaded veranda providing a beautiful environment for the guests to enjoy their morning coffee.
In this level, there is one terrace in the back of the house, the perfect place when a strong wind "meltemi" is blowing and one in the front with outdoor dining facilities, panoramic sea view and a wooden pergola.
A beautiful staircase from the main hall leads to the upstairs bedrooms.
The upper level includes one double bedroom; one room with adults size bunk beds favourite for the kids; a sharing bathroom with shower. A small kitchenette features also in this level allows guests to enjoy a quick coffee, snack or a cool drink. All the bedrooms have access to a panoramic sea view terrace.
The Art House set on top a steep hillside overlooking the breathtaking Ag. Nikolaos bay. Its privileged location offers privacy yet is only 5 minutes away from Vourkari village with its shops, restaurants, supermarket, bars and cafes. The fantastic location of this house makes it the perfect base for exploring the whole island!
The house is beautifully decorated with unique art pieces by Greek artists. All bedrooms are spacious, bright and minimal, offer every comfort and privacy to the guests and have full access to the outdoors. The wardrobes provide enough space for clothing as well as storage of suitcases and bags. All windows are equipped with pull-down insect screens. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The security deposit of € 250 in cash must be paid upon arrival when the key is given to the guests. The security deposit will be refunded (if no damages are done) when the key is returned at check-out.
Provided: Linens and towels fully provided for all guests. Cleaning lady coming once a week changing linens and towels.
Initial bathroom amenities, toilet paper and basic cleaning supplies. Laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets. First Aid Kit, electric converters. In the house, there is a safe for your valuables.
Please feel free to use spices and condiments that are already in the house. Also, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar is standard in the kitchen for each arrival.
A welcome hamper is provided full of local products and homemade sweets
Available upon request: A travel cot, high chair, baby monitor, baby bath, stroller and car seat can be provided on request. Snorkelling gear, a beach umbrella and sand toys. Cleaning lady more than once a week for an additional charge of €7/per hour.
I will personally welcome you in the port, and show you around the house and premises answering any questions you might have regarding the house as well as local recommendations.
