Luxurious, modern semi-detached duplex apartment on the Wild Atlantic Way / Bertra Beach with spacious deck and spectacular views of Croagh Patrick. Ideal for 2 people who enjoy their space. Enjoy the breath taking Croagh Patrick vista on the private sun deck. Relax in front of a fire in the wood burning stove. Combine a beach holiday with climbing 'Croagh Patrick', St. Patrick's holy mountain of Ireland overlooking Clew Bay and the Islands. Westport is a major adventure sports location in the West of Ireland and gateway to Connemara.
Property details : Croagh Patrick Apartment with artistic flair. 57 sqm, maximum 2 persons / self catering: 1 double bedroom + study gallery/office loft, 1 bathroom. The gallery loft study is accessed by spiral staircase and has a desk, seating area and a wardrobe.
The apartment has its own entrance and a large separate/screened deck with patio table/chairs and sun bed. Beside the double bedroom there is a open plan gallery study loft over the living area - access by spiral staircase. Bright open plan living room with wood burning stove and Croagh Patrick views / patio doors. TV/video and. wireless high speed fibre optic broadband. Designated parking in front of deck of apartment. Kitchen with full cooking facilities – hob, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Location : Situated in a quiet, safe cul-de-sac lane under Croagh Patrick, a short stroll from the Blue Flag Beach of Bertra Strand with sand dunes. The property enjoys an amazing Croagh Patrick mountain vista.
Amenities : This is a perfect location to combine a climb on Croagh Patrick with a beach holiday ie. swimming, shore- fishing, windsurfing, kite-surfing, sea-kayaking. Close by are Golf courses, surfing beaches, hill walking and bird watching areas. This area is a spectacular cycling area with many marked small cycling roads with trips to Killary Harbour, Silverstrand the the islands. There is a cycle lane along the coast from Croagh Patrick to Westport that joins up with the newly opened GREENWAY cycle lane to Newport, Mulranny and Achill Island. Currently the Greenway is being extended to Bertra Strand past Bertra Lodge and is partially completed.

EXPLORING ISLANDS : There are Ferries from Roonagh Quay near Louisburgh to Clare Island and Inisturk Island
LOCAL PUBS / RESTAURANTS :
Besides the many Pubs and Restaurants in Westport and Louisburgh we have 3 local Pubs for a good pint of Guinness – (Campbell's and The Tavern also serve good Food) in the local villages of Murrisk and Lecanvey (Stauntons) approx 1 mile away. Also recommended is the Shebeen Pub for food on the coast road before Westport.

“Revisiting Westport after 40 years”
We were looking forward to this holiday so much and we were not disappointed. The apartment was lovely and Hilary was so welcoming. The view of Croagh Patrick from the garden stunning. We were blessed with good weather which made our stay even more enjoyable. Would recommend travelling to Achill Island and Connemara , the views beautiful. Walking up Croagh Patrick is a must do for the views. It is difficult but well worth it. Plenty of pubs with great food an drink. What charmed us most was the peace and quiet of the countryside and the warmth of everyone we met. We will be returning.
