Description
La Casita is a secluded 3-bedroomed house set in grounds of over an acre. The cottage enjoys picturesque views of the Atlantic while steps from the front gardens lead directly to the beach.
Protected from the elements by walls and trees, La Casita possesses some interesting features including a spiralled staircase and a large upstairs balcony with panoramic vistas of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay.
Five miles from Westport, the house is perfect for a family holiday or a quiet romantic getaway. It also makes a wonderful base for golf, fishing (fresh- or salt-water), walking, cycling, horse riding or simply exploring Mayo, Clare Island and Connamara.

“Lovely relaxing time”
Just home from Rosmoney…. Unfortunately! Toyed with idea of asking Jim if we could extend our stay to Monday!!!! But, unfortunately real life beckoned…… Anyway. Lovely house, great location, and complete peace if that’s your bint. The site pictures do not do the place any favours or justice…. The house had real character and sense of place and time. It had that lovely easy lived in feeling, and the gardens, views, neighbours, location, weather, in essence, everything, was to our liking. We were a party of 6 adults and my two grandchildren aged 2 and 5. The house and grounds easily accommodated us very comfortably, effectively having 3 sitting rooms, 2 barbecue areas 2 garden areas and direct access to the beach!! Imelda arrived to greet us after we arrived, and told us what we needed to know. Jim, her partner, also called later in the week to say hello. Both were welcoming and amiable. And unobtrusive throughout our stay. And due no doubt to their efforts also, the house was in a clean and pristine condition upon our arrival.. So. What can I say? We had a great time at La Casita, captivated by it maybe!! I’d highly recommend it to anyone as an idyllic quiet comfortable lazy day retreat away from the ‘noise’ of normal life. I could hear myself think here in the spaciousness silence and timelessness of the experience…. Wow! Never wrote a review before…. So, thanks Dr Rod, Elelda and Jim for facilitating our stay at Rosmoney. Hopefully we will return in the not too distant future, and again savour the delights of La Casita, Pat O’Connor
