“Decent house, well-stocked” We stayed here for the first year. The house was in a great location, with an easy walk to the beach. The kitchen was so well stocked and we loved the fact that the house provided both bed and bath linens (beds even made for us). We also liked the keyless entry, it was great not to have to worry about carrying a key. We did have an issue with the dishwasher not working which we were not told about. That was not a problem specifically with the house but with the realty company. We loved that the house was dog-friendly. It was nice and clean. We did, however, find a live roach in the sunroom but once we got rid of it, we did not find anymore fortunately. Overall, the house was very nice.

“A Classy Vacation Experience in any Season” My brother, who has problems walking, and I stayed at Sunnybank for a little under a week in the early spring when the Corolla horses are foaling. The layout of the well-appointed, three-storey main building was perfect for our needs: the fabulous view from the top floor living room provided the inspiration for him to walk up the grand stair case, and he could take the elevator when he was having problems walking. (There are two bedrooms with walk-in showers to accommodate people who have a problem walking.) It rained the first two days, which might have been gloomy any where else, but the library of videos, and stashes of games and playing cards gave us the opportunity to connect in ways that we hadn't since we were children. The fabulous cook's kitchen and multiple eating areas can accommodate a wedding party, family reunion, or any get away time one might want. Mine was a working vacation and the office there, which is outfitted with excellent Ethernet and WiFi connections plus a daybed for napping, was a better arrangement than my office at home. Comfort and casual, yet classy ambience abounds at Sunnybank. An excellent find!

“Perfect” Angi, Thank you for such a wonderful piece of heaven. Your home is so well appointed and so cozy we just felt right at home. We also are so appreciative that you allowed us to bring our four legged little girl. It made this vacation so stress free knowing she was with us. “Great beach! Great House!” Our stay here was terrific. This is our fourth summer renting the same house. We love all the extra amenities, especially the bikes for a family bike ride. We had three families staying and friends that visited while we were there. We all had plenty of space and a great time.

“Overall Impressed” We have rented this property before, fine walk to the beach! private pool is the best! one small suggestion, because it is a pet friendly home, i would suggest to steam clean the carpet prior to each guest, due to some guests having pet allergies.

“Very nice property and a good value for the area” We had 18 people at the house and there was plenty of everything: space, seating, recreation. Although, not on the beach, the walk to the beach was short, straight walk to the walkway. The dunes in this area are quite high, and there are quite a few steps to tackle. Nice beach. Would definetly recommend the Tropical Dream. The service from the rental company, Outerbanks Blue was great

“Tarheel Treasure Pleasure” My entire experience from beginning to end was very pleasant. The house was perfect for our needs and I really appreciated the convenience of the keyless entry. The neighborhood was quiet and not far at all from grocery stores and shopping. And even better was the very short walk to the beach!

“Fabulous layout of the house. Great pool” The house layout was wonderful for a big family like ours. It does need some updates such as: carpet, sliding doors, stove. It was clean and wonderful. The pool was the best feature to this house. We also enjoyed the deck on the top level. We did have a problem with the air conditioner the last evening we were there. Upon calling the numbers given to us, we were told that there were three calls ahead of us and that they probably would not be able to attend to our problem. Really? Other than that the service was fine.

“Wonderful beach vacation” This was a great home that was so very close to the beach. Beautiful home that was equipped with everything. The family had a wonderful time. The pool was so much bigger than I expected. We also liked the fact that it was dog friendly. A very nice touch was that the owner contacted us the second day we were there to see if everything was okay. I would certainly rent this beautiful home again!!!

“Our vacation was awesome!” Outer Banks Blue is an awesome company to deal with. The house was ready on time; it was neat and clean. When a problem arose with the hot tub, Outer Banks Blue was on it and had it fixed as soon as possible. The house fit our needs perfectly. We were very pleased. This was our first visit to the Outer Banks, and we look forward to many more.

“Perfect beach getaway” We had such a wonderful weekend staying at B's dream. The house was decorated beautifully, easy to navigate, pretty & safe neighborhood, easy beach access, updated appliances & tvs, harris teeter close by, close to restaurants/shopping/golf but more private & less crowded than nags head or kitty hawk. The beach was gorgeous. It was truly the best beach weekend we have had in a long time and we would love to come back again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

“Great beach vacation” Wine down had everything we needed for a wonderful beach vacation with 4 families and 20 individuals. The charcoal grill, hot tub, pool, and casual stroll to the ocean were perfect for occupying all ages of our gathering. Outer banks blue was very accommodating to all of our needs. There was plenty of room for individuals but also great gathering areas for the entire group. The house offered many amenities such as movies, games, lots of outdoor seating, just about every kitchen item you would need.

“Lovely house in great family location” This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and will not be our last. We were concerned that after Irina the house would be a mess, but on the whole it was great. There was some minor damage to a couple of screens, but otherwise the house is in great condition and was clean. The beach is a short, safe walk from the property and, in September, it never got very busy the whole time. There is a supermarket 5 minutes drive away and a number of restaurants in the area (the good ones require booking a table). The kitchen has the basics but bring your own chopping boards, condiments etc if you plan on cooking. Unfortunately the previous renters had used the play area as kennel for their dog and it was full of excrement. We called the management company, Outer Banks Blue, who apologized and said they would send someone over. We called again the next day but no one ever did come. That's a shame because it's a nice house and the response of the management company to our one small problem is the only thing that would make me think twice about using it again.

“Friendly fun” Loved the nice decor and spacious rooms. A little further out from the beach than I had thought; thank goodness for the walking path. But cannot go wrong with a non-public beach.

“Great, family vacation spot!” We love OBX Blue, they are a great rental company! House was in great condition, love the updated kitchen, rooms and beds were comfy and the distance to the beach was perfect. Excellent play room (for young and old) in the lowest level. I only wish the carpets were cleaner...

“Lovely, spacious and thoughtfully stocked home” Kelly's Beach Retreat is a fantastic place. Steps from the beach, thoughtfully stocked, and with an inviting open kitchen and dining room. The place gets amazing light and is very relaxing. Glenn was great to work with as well. Our only note is that while the home is wonderful for families--and large ones at that!--parents of toddlers should note that there are a lot of steps that are very attractive to little climbers. Had we thought about it, we would have put a mini gate or something in the car with us.
