“A Nice Slice Of Heaven” We just returned from spending the month of February in Gorgona. Tom and Karen have this 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo prepared with everything. The kitchen is equipped with all you need and the space was great for the 4 of us. Wi-fi was easy and having access to free long distance in North america and a great Weber bbq. The view from the balcony overlooking the ocean on one side and the mountains and fishing village was great. We met wonderful people on our morning walks -an incredible beach and only a 10 minute walk to the fishing village for a fresh catch of sea bass. Just a few minutes to walk to the local sports bar, La Ruina - sit at the bar - and the bus stop is right across the street - 30 cents to the main road! Cabs were easy - the guard would call for us or you can set up the cell phone Tom and Karen have available and for $3. we drove into Coronado with 3 supermarkets - Super 99, the The Rey and and the El Machetazo - best produce We took a bus from the main road into the albrook Mall in Panama City - $2.50. Fyi - when you return, book your ticket in the Mall for Santa Clara and get off at Gorgona - you will need to buy a 'superpass card'' for $1.50 as well, not just the bus tickets. If you need help - Tom and Karen have a wonderful property manager, Carlo - he was there for us, when one of our companions forgot her insulin! There is also a new clinic in Coronado - the Doctor speaks English - $20 to see him! They have a very good dentist in Coronado close to Super 99. Day trip - definitely El Vallee - cooler - great market and busy on a Sunday. Grab Oscar for a tour of the Old City and the Canal - he picked us up at the airport - great English and sense of humour and a wealth of info. Great restraunts and the local paper is now on-line for the area. Hasta la próxima vez ... gracias Lynne, Bryan, Pat and Janet - Ontario

“Peaceful, relaxing stay in paradise.” My sister and I had a marvelous stay here. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Property was very well maintained. The pool was always the right temperature. Other guests were quiet and respectful. Wifi worked like a dream. The beach was only a 3 minute walk from the cabin and mostly deserted. Coronado is approximately a 20 minute drive. Aflredo was very pleasant and helpful. He took us on a fantastic tour of the Panama canal and Panama city. I highly recommend this property to anyone with a means of transport and is looking for a tranquil paradise.

Very relaxing on beautiful beach

What a great trip to Panama with a relaxing week at Tom & Karen's condo in Gorgona. The three-bedroom unit was lovely with all the amenities of home: washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender - all the fixings for a proper beach vacation. Satellite television, internet access and even a satellite phone to call family and friends at home for free! The balcony was our favorite spot for every meal with a view of the ocean, the bay and the mountains. Playa Serna, the condo complex, was well maintained with a beautiful pool, game room with ping pong and foosball, security at both the beach and parking garage and an amazing beach! Wow! The combination of black and beige sand made it a living etch-a-sketch! We spent hours walking on the beach, throwing the football and looking for shells and sea glass. The beach is remote - You will not have to fight for a spot to sunbathe - but a short drive away is Coronado with grocery stores and restaurants. Tom provided a fantastic "care packet" with driving directions and tips for a great stay. Please note: Driving directions are difficult since there are few named roads/street addresses. I have a new appreciation for house numbers. But his directions were very good. In addition to Coronado, we ventured to ElValle, a mountain town, for hiking, zip lining and trip to a nature preserve. It was wonderful, even though the drive was a little harrowing. We didn't pack clubs, but there were several golf courses that were also nearby. This condo is a great value and lovely break!
