Very nice well equiped everything for a good holiday nice central location .only one niggle no door to bedroom if one person got up early other person was disturbed by noise maybe a thick curtain would solve the problem then it could be pulled back during day otherwise no complaints just a good holiday in a well presented property really enjoyable

Little Gem for a great week

Left on 04/03/2012 for a stay in March 2012

I booked this apartment based upon the price, location, photographs and the other reviews I had read on Ta. Our only concern was that it was pet friendly and whilst we are dog lovers and have owned dogs we currently do not have one and we were worried about the potential 'doggy smell'. We need not have worried. Upon arrival we found a spotless, clean apartment with no smell of animals. It was so clean I found it hard to believe it was pet friendly. I do agree that it should be listed as a studio apartment as the bedroom is split with a wall that come across 2/3 of the way with no door but that does not matter when only two of you are staying. The apartment is extremely well equipped with a kitchen not out of place in a 3 bed house. All the appliances are top notch and nothing cheap. For holiday rental we were delighted with the standard. Its location is fantastic, close to the centre of Bowness ideal for all shops, pubs, restaurants and the lake. Another plus was the key lock on the wall meaning you could leave your keys every night without worrying about losing them...in closing, spotless, very well equipped with good standard equipment, ideal location, will definately return.

The property is only small, but was a great base camp for a week away with only a short walk or drive to most places. It has all modern ammenities but does not have an open fire. Very clean and very well presented would definately return for a future visit.

      Disappointed with location

Left on 08/19/2011 for a stay in June 2011

My husband is disabled (ie walks with 2 sticks and sometimes uses a wheelchair) and before booking I ensure we are on one level, have walk-in shower and access is suitable. On this holiday we found there was a very steep hill leading from the apartment to the town which was totally unsuitable for my husband either with his sticks or his wheelchair. I mentioned this in a review I completed and was told by one of your staff to expect hills in the Lake District! I am aware that the area is hilly but I am also familiar with Bowness and knew that it is quite flat by the lake and park. The address of this apartment being park view I thought we were on to a winner. We did cope with the holiday but with difficulty and enjoyed ourselves. The apartment itself is lovely. What has upset us is the attitude of your staff when we mentioned this problem and as a result I am very hesitant about booking another holiday with your company.

Excellent pet friendly accomodation for a couple

Left on 03/10/2011 for a stay in December 2010

The apartment is small but was well equipped with everything you need for a comfortbale stay. The kitchen is fantastic. The secure garden is also a great benefit for dog owners owners like us.

The only point I would like to make is that we feel this should be classed as a studio apartment rather than one bedroom. The lack of a door into the bedroom because everything is open plan makes it more like a studio apartment. We only mention this so that you're not disappointed on arrival

Other than that, this a fantastic place to stay in a great location. We would definitely book again and recommend to friends.

      lovely

After reading the previous reviews, i was looking forward to a lovely clean well positoned cottage, and i wasnt wrong, this place is beautiful, so well looked after, and so comfortable. January in the Lakes was cold, but the cottage was so cozy with it remote control fires, and having sky tv was a bonus on the first and only rainy day we had on the Sunday. All in all its a really lovely place to stay. So close to everything you will need.

      A great find

Left on 12/26/2010 for a stay in December 2010

This little apartment represents budget accommodation but size and budget isn't everything. What impresses when entering the apartment is the level of cleanliness and the fact that nothing seems tired or worn. After a few minutes in the apartment you begin to notice other good things: the fact that you have Sky TV, remote control lighting, a washer dryer and a dishwasher. But none of these things are fitted just for the sake of looking good on the brochure: everything is excellent quality: the washer/dryer is aEG and the dishwasher is Bosch. The owner of this place has really made an effort to make it not only welcoming but also a comfortable stay for a week or much more.

When we stayed, during the big freeze of December 2010, a water pipe burst somewhere outside which caused no inconvenience except for a loud hissing of water. On contacting the owner, he visitied the property, rectified the problem and offered 'a large discount' if we ever wanted to book again.

Better and cleaner than most hotel rooms and yet a fraction of the price.

Oh and I forgot the location. Perfect.

      Excellent Service.

Spotlessly clean, everything we needed included, comfortably furnished.

5 minutes walk from Bowness centre, 10 minutes to the lake. Great for using the lake steamers as a bus service. Bus pick up point at Lakeside, we didn't use the car all week.
Plenty to do in Bowness, shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs.

The lighting level was lower than we liked and we found it difficult to read without augmenting the lighting. You are working at the cooker and sink in your own shadow. We would recommend considering installing under cupboard lighting over the work surfaces and providing a reading lamp in the lounge area.
