“Excellent cottage” Extremely well presented cottage. Quiet, and in good central location, though some people would find the steep hill something of a challenge. We are regular visitors to Grange,and enjoy its slightly oldfashioned charm,excellent butchers,bakery, and brass band concerts. Many places are accessible by bus or train so there is no need to use a car. Only crticism was the total absence of cleaning materials - and the elegant but rather difficult to use bathroom taps!

“Superb!” Stunning and spacious property. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Easily accommodated our party of 8. Hosts were pleasant and helpful, on hand if required but not intrusive. A bottle of wine in the chiller and a home made chocolate cake awaited us on arrival. Our party ranged in age from 11 - 80 , everyone enjoyed their stay and would be delighted to return.

Briarcliffe Cottage is located in the village of Lindale just off the A590, It's a great location for visiting the many attractions of the Southern Lake District. The cottage is beautifully presented, with three well sized bedrooms, two of which have en-suites, leaving the main bathroom as a private bathroom for bedroom three. Downstairs the lounge, dining room and kitchen are well equipped. With an attached sun room accessed from the rear there is plenty of room to leave footwear and wet clothing, not something we needed as we had fine weather. … see more

The cottage was very good and they had thought about everything you might need for your stay. It was a pleasant and peaceful location. The only problem that we had was that the company advertising the property stated that it was a short stroll to the pub/shops. Whilst the distance may have been correct it was certainly not a stroll. The property was at the top of a very steep bank and had this been in the review of the property i would not have booked it due to having a daughter in a wheelchair and it was impossible to get up and down the bank with her. My parent who are in their seventies also could not manage the bank, therefore we could not leave the property to go out unless we were in the car. … see more
