Hideaway Beach Resort, Cabarete, is located on the North Shore of the Dominican Republic just footsteps from 'Encuentro Beach; one of the best surfing beaches in the Caribbean. 15 miles from the Puerto Plata International Airport (POP).
The Mediterranean Style Hideaway Beach Resort is between Sosua and Cabarete. Our condo offers Caribbean atmosphere with all the comforts of home (AC, 2 Queen beds, 2 baths, full kitchen) in a quiet serene setting only 5-10 minutes from all the action of Cabarete and Sosua. 1st floor, Oceanfront Condo (1300 sq ft, high ceiling, corner unit, bright and airy with no stairs involved) the pool deck becomes an extension of your living and entertaining space. Wake up to the sounds of the waves. Take long walks on the beautiful tranquil beach and wooded trails overlooking the ocean and seaside cliffs.
Chez Aresino Restaurante has excellent food. Five star rating!!! East Coast, New York City, fine dining quality in a spectacular oceanfront setting. Casual meets quality hospitality with excellent daily specials. Fresh daily fish, delicious steaks & pasta dishes. Friendly bar atmosphere with drink of the day, happy hour & tropical martinis. I couldn't dream of a better vacation. Thank you Chef Arsenio for your hospitality.
You have a full kitchen so you can certainly eat in. There are large grocery stores in Sosua or smaller ones in Cabarete (both 5-10 minutes by car/taxi)
If you tire of the tranquility head into Cabarete or Sosua for dining, nightlife or shopping. There are many options for sight seeing or action tours. Choices range from mountain climbing, biking, horseback riding at Hideaway Beach Resort, to beach and sailing tours. There is white water rafting, waterfalls or jeep safari tours. (Check Iguana Mama Tours). Head out for deep sea fishing or a historical tour of Puerto Plata. The kids will love Oceanworld, the water park or go-carting. All nearby.......
Water sports to enjoy are kite surfing, surfing, snorkeling, standup paddle board right out your back door.....
Head into Cabarete and the choices are bountiful; from an Irish Pub to excellent Italian and French Cusine all on the beach in a surprisingly upscale environment. The town is mainly made up of American expats and people of all ages from all over Europe. In the evening on the beach all the palm trees are lit up with Christmas Lights to add to the beauty of the evening.
Hideaway Beach is a perfect choice for a vacation filled with action and relaxation. Aside from the stunning beauty of its beaches, both Sosúa and Cabarete offer bustling commercial districts complete with banks, stores, pharmacies, clinics, beauty parlors and more. Nights come to life at an endless array of restaurants catering to the most discriminating palate; bars, nightclubs and discos invite you to whirl the night away or tempt your luck at a nearby casino.
