Colucci Log Cabins on the Ohio River located just 50 minutes outside of Louisville
Welcome to the "Moondance" cabin. Also built in 2003, this cabin is the "twin" to the "Yin-Yang". Perched upon the rivers' edge, it commands breathtaking views of two horseshoe bends on the beautiful Ohio River. Like the "Yin-Yang", this cabin sleeps 6 comfortably and boasts all the same wonderful amenities as her twin cabin the "Yin-Yang". Come sit in our rocking chairs and enjoy a quiet nap.

Bud, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. The cabin was perfect, feels just like a home, well equipped, and you couldn't ask for a pretty view when the sun rises. The kitchen was perfect size and the bathrooms were very clean. Everything about the experience was a positive. We will definitely be back and may be bringing a few more guests with us next time! The boat launch was convenient and just a few hundred yards from the cabin. We were lucky enough to see a big steam paddleship go by.

Had a wonderful stay in the Moondance. The cabin and accompaniments were perfect, the view unbeatable and the solitude priceless. The highpoint of our weekend occurred on Saturday morning while hiking at Saddle Lake, we spotted a bald eagle. What an unexpected treat!
Couldn't ask for more in a quiet, comfortable weekend getaway.

This was my second stay at Colucchi cabins. The Moondance cabin is right on the river's edge. It has two bedrooms, two baths, a covered deck and a hot tub. It is a perfect spot for 2 couples or for a family. There was a welcoming note on the door and soft music playing when we arrived. The cabin was wonderfully clean, the hot tub sparkled. The first night we had a quick dinner of pizza and spent the majority of the evening soaking in the hot tub, watching snow fall lightly, letting the stress of the real world float away. The next morning we had a leisurely breakfast, then drove to a local winery (Winzerwald) for a wine tasting. On the way back we stopped at Marcy's restaurant on Bud Colucchi's recommendation. It was a good meal and we left well satisfied! The cold weather kept us inside the cabin for the rest of our stay, but the cabin was so comfortable and cozy we didn't mind that at all!
You will be supplied with every thing you need for a perfect getaway. Bring your own food, libation (and laundry soap if you are staying for a while), don't forget the bathing suit for the hot tub. Once you arrive just drink in the views and relax. You'll be glad you came!
