Southern CaliforniaEuropean charm and sophistication
Left on 04/30/2012 for a stay in July 2010
The drive to Croney Cove is breathtaking as you meander along Warm Springs Creek for approximately ten miles -- 4 miles of which is paved and 6 miles of which is a well-maintained dirt road. As you approach the property, a feeling of calmness and serenity consumes your body and mind. A short walk across the covered foot bridge and you will feel as if you have been transported into a quaint Bavarian village.
The property consists of multiple log buildings -- main house, guest house, pool house, root cellar, sauna, barn, and conservatory. In addition to the structures, there are soaking tubs filled with natural hot springs water, covered bridges, and outdoor fireplaces. The ambiance is truly spectacular and evokes all of the charm and coziness that one associates with a European retreat.
The guest house is absolutely wonderful. The bottom floor consists of a fully-stocked kitchen, dining area, bathroom, and family room. The second floor is a bedroom retreat with a cozy bedroom, lovely bathroom with shower, and sitting area. Both floors have wood-burning fireplaces and views of Warm Springs Creek. The entire guest house is filled with lovely antiques, linens, dishes, and treasures that the owners, Lisa and Michael, have amassed from their extensive travels to Europe and the South Seas.
Everything about Croney Cove is unrivaled; however, it is the owners, Lisa and Michael that make Croney Cove particularly special. They willingly and cheerfully share their magical property with all of their guests. Lisa is remarkable in her ability to entertain and make you feel special in every way possible. She exudes unending energy, meticulous style, and positive karma.
When we feel the need to relax and unwind, a visit to Croney Cove always satisfies our needs. I've lost track of the number of times that we have stayed at Croney Cove over the past thirteen years; but, I can tell you this, every time we visit, it's like going home and visiting family.

Unbelievable natural beauty surrounds this charming European guest house
filled with antiques and modern conveniences, too. Beautiful gardens on the river and the natural hot springs invite relaxation and inspiration.
Stargazing from the hot tub while listening to the river flow by is a highlight. This is a very unique property with many opportunities for
a variety of activities. Your choice!
Lisa and Michael are the consummate hosts and they will make sure that you enjoy your stay at Crony Cove. Ciao! -

This is hands down one of the most magical places I've been in Idaho. This rustic cluster of cabins is nestled in a narrow valley beside Warm Springs creek. There are several hot springs on the property. Each pool is unique and there's a temperature to accomodate everyone. My favorite place to stay is the little historic cabin that dates back to Idahos mining era. Lisa is a consumate hostess and makes your stay restful and special. I highly recommend a stay at Croney Cove!!!

My husband and I have stayed at Croney Cove several times (both in the summer and winter) and it truly is like living in a fairy tale. The beautiful antique filled and well stocked guest house is tucked in the mountains with a covered bridge and the rushing Bigwood river just steps outside the door. We took a soak in one of 2 geothermal heated tubs under a star filled sky and then jumped in our provided plush robes and sat by the outdoor fireplace, nightcap in hand. The hospitality is amazing and Lisa makes you feel as if you are the only one on earth. We have had both breakfast and dinner upon request and it was over the top delicious and all beautifully served. It truly is a magical place and we can't wait to get back!

If you want a truely fabulous stay in magical mountains Croney Cove is it. We felt like Hansel and Gretal staying in the beautiful european furnishings of our little cottage. It dosen't get any better than the warm water heated floors on your cold feet as you jump into your down comforted bed. Then to see the millions of stars overhead while soaking in your own private hot pool alongside Warm Springs River is amazing. Lisa and Mike are the perfect hosts they will make sure you are happy and that you have everything you could want. Excelent food and beverages. It is so quiet and pristine at Croney Cove you'll think you died and went to heaven.

Think European high mountain playland. Croney Cove is surrounded by National forest with great access to hiking and mountain biking.Treat those tired mussels with a soak in the natural hotsprings fed soaking tub.The gentle noise of Warm Springs Creek will gently lull you to sleep.
The house is filled with European antiques brought over by the owner. Which gives the house a cozy and welcoming feel. The floors are heated with the natural hotsprings water. The two wood burning fireplaces also add a welcoming warmth. The fully equipped kitchen makes it very convienent for making delicious meals any time.
The hosts make you feel truly welcomed to share this most exquisit story book accomadation. I love Croney Cove! -

To enter Croney Cove is to enter a magical world...right in the Sawtooth National Forest with Warm Springs Creek flowing out your front door. I cannot think of another more magical mountain retreat that I've visited anywhere other than in the alps. The interior is well-appointed and so comfortable, I feel as though I'm returning to a long adored family cabin. Add the outdoor mineral soaking tubs (2!) and candlelight, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and the sauna and it's a simply breathtaking property - and utterly private. I've attended a summer wedding on the grounds and the property was equally inspiring void of snow. My stays at Croney Cove have never left me in want of a single thing. Have I mentioned the nights with an endless blanket of stars...?

We have been there several times. It is so great, if you like the silence in the nature. The house is so comfortable and you get a great hopitality. My favorite part of the stay is sitting in the hot springs and afterwords hanging out in the hamrock on the bridge over the river.

We have rented this fantastic home in the spring, summer, fall, and winter and are never disappointed. Everything you need is there for a first class experience. Lisa and michael are world travelers and have filled the home with antiques from around the world.
Fly fishing outside the front door. Hiking up to cougar cave, or curled up by one of the 2 stone fireplaces with a good book. The experience is pure magic.
Ketchum and Sun Valley are a easy 10 minute ride on a well maintained county road. -

We have stayed here in the winter and the summer. Each time was fabulous.
From the natural on the river hot tub, the enchanting sauna. The wonderful comfort of the chalet to an outdoor massage on the bridge with the river flowing beneath. The garden in the summer is heavenly. Sitting at the outdoor fireplace with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. Hiking up to the cougar cave with a picnic, sublime.
We will go again and again.

Left on 04/07/2012 for a stay in December 2011
In December 2011 I stayed for a few days at Croney Cove. What a wonderful experience! First, you're in the Sawtooth National Forest where elk roam, crystal rivers sparkle, and natural springs heat the floors and tubs. You're only 20 minutes to town but you'd never know it! Second, the 19th century homestead has been beautifully restored, with full respect for its history. The decor is European country luxe; there are hundreds of carefully chosen paintings and antique housewares to delight the eye. You feel like you are in the estate of a Hapsburg prince high in the alps! Lisa and Mike, the hosts, could not be more accommodating, plus, they are delightful and fun. Stay here, you'll be glad you did!

Ketchum IDA true sanctuary!
Left on 04/07/2012 for a stay in July 2011
Very few properties like this exist. It is a sanctuary for the mind, body, and soul. I have spent a fair amount of time at Croney Cove and it is always hard for me to leave. Attention has been paid lovingly to every detail. The property, amenities, gardens, air, water, tubs, sauna...hikes, the sound of the river, the bridges...the guest house...like living in your own fairy tale. Far removed but so close to the wonderful resort of Sun Valley and friendly town of Ketchum. You will want to write, you will want to paint, you will want to sing to the surrounding mountains while sipping something special in the natural warm spring tubs. You will feel renewed and passionate about being alive!

When you arrive at this property you will be in awe. My husband and I were looking for a romantic private place for us to celebrate our anniversary with great success we found this beautiful location
nestled on the banks of the river with amazing natural hot springs and surrounded by gorgeous gardens. It reminds my husband and I of a Villa we stayed at in Italy that has a special place in our heart. Spectacular location and a Hostess that you'll always remember. -

Scottsdale, AZLiving with nature in Idaho
Left on 03/26/2012 for a stay in August 2011
For more than 12 years we had the opportunity to live in Sun Valley/Ketchum, Idaho... one of the most beautiful places we've ever been to and we've traveled for more than 30 years. Experiencing beauty, nature, comfort, luxury, simplicity, and adventure.
One day we took a bikeride heading west of Sun Valley on Warm Springs Rd. along the river... It's pure and authentic nature at it's best. At the end of the road we expected to find some warm-springs open to the public.
We did but we also found a place that we still refer to as the ultimá of life.
Lisa's Place! Croney Cove...
And yes... Lisa have a few options.
Rent a Guest House, rent a warm-spring pool house, rent a room... have a picnic or a wedding party. I would not call it a Bed & Breakfast. I would prefer to call it the most adorable, beautiful place anyone can dream about when looking for mother nature at it's best... But it's not a Four Season Resort (it's better.)
Once a year we return to Sun Valley/Ketchum and Lisa's Place, Croney Grove, is our first choice. To wake up in the quite wilderness with the formidable' beauty of Idaho at your footstep.
