    Additional Location Information

A river runs through it...Yellowstone Country - Anglers enjoy floating the Yellowstone River, fishing in the clear mountain streams, or matching their skills with wary spring creek trout. The fabled rivers and steams of Yellowstone National Park are only a short distance up the Valley. The fishing doesn't get any better than here.

After a day of hiking, fishing, trail riding, exploring, or skiing you can relax in the hot tub or cuddle up with a good book in front of the fire. We are perfectly located for your Montana adventure.

There are numerous bird species in Paradise Valley including, American bald and golden eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, wading birds, four species of hummingbird, and Osprey. As the seasons change so do the vistas and activities available. In the Spring, migratory birds return, newly born elk calf appear on the mountain, the first tiny wildflowers bloom, and the streams open for fishing in late May. As Summer unfolds, the meadows turn to green, elk and deer are minding their young, rodeo season is under way, floating the wild Yellowstone River is enjoyed, and horseback riding an hiking are always fun with wildflowers in full bloom. The many are streams hold abundant and beautifully colored Brown, Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Keep your eyes out for a young buck who likes to eat the flowers near the house. He will let you watch from the house as he eats his dinner just a few feet beyond the glass doors.

When winter sets in and snow is on the mountain, the squirrels, finches and chickadees cluster at the feeder, elk by the hundreds graze the foothills, skiers head for the slopes or the back country, fireplaces warm the toes, and trips to Chio Hot Springs occur more frequently. The starts so brilliant in the cold clear skies make for the end of a perfect day.

Our guests have access to over a million acres of public land, including those in the Gallatin National Forest and the Absaroka/Beartooth Wilderness. There are trails to hike, peaks to climb and pristine areas to explore.

We are headed back to this little slice of heaven

Left on 06/05/2013 for a stay in July 2011

We took our two boys here back in July of 2011. They had a blast, and so did we! They were 4 and 9 years old. Last year we did Disney World, swamp boat rides & more in Florida. We offered Hawaii, California, theme parks, etc for this summer. Our boys said no Way-we want to go back to art's house in Montana! (And honestly, we the parents are in full agreement!) Yellowstone National Park is nearby. We took a day drive through some nearby mountains. We saw bear, moose & fed chipmunks right on the side of the road! We did a horseback ride at a nearby ranch, hiked to a waterfall (with our bear spray on our hips), went fishing in the river which is just a short walk down the road, enjoyed big steaks & corn on the cob with a fantastic view of the valley & mountains from the big wood deck, played board games with our kids, threw a baseball in the yard, checked out the old chicken coop, talked to the neighbors whose black lab loved to come visit and play fetch with my boys, went into town & took in the shops and train museum, bought some cowboy boots at the western store, slept in because the beds were so comfortable, saw deer right outside our bedroom window when we woke up, enjoyed a quick Montana that caused the power to go out (super exciting stuff because the kids had to use flashlights in the house), took photos of old barns & the beautiful scenery, went white water rafting and just relaxed in our spare time. The house was really comfortable. We were very happy with our entire stay. Bill the office manager was awesome. Everything was better than expected.

Dinner on the deck - you can't beat these views White water rafting trip Waterfall on a hike nearby Brothers fishing at the Yellowstone River Joy in Montana Horseback ridiing Relaxing and enjoying a stick instead of video games Looking for animals from the backyard

Most relaxing vacation ever! We all loved it!

Left on 06/05/2013 for a stay in July 2011

We visited with two boys, ages 4 and 9. My husband and I slept great in the comfy beds. The boys loved the twin beds in one of the other bedrooms. We woke up to deer right outside our bedroom window. There was so much to do nearby...we went horseback riding, white water rafting, toured a train museum, walked down to the river to fish, and enjoyed the stunning views from the huge wooden deck. Eating dinner and relaxing on the deck was wonderful. There was plenty of privacy and room to play and explore. Bill, the manager of the property, was so sweet and helpful. We went on a hike to a nearby waterfall one day, and visited the hot springs the next. I could go on and on about this amazing vacation spot! We are going back for another visit this month. Our kids were given a choice...Hawaii, California, camping, motor home trip, theme parks, Mexico...they said no way! They wanted to go back to art's house in Montana! So off we go, to enjoy ourselves. This time my parents will be joining us. There was plenty of room and I know they are going to love this relaxing home and gorgeous part of the United States!

This is the "Miracle Mile" of Paradise Valley!

Left on 05/29/2013 for a stay in August 2012

This home situated in the heart of Paradise Valley was more than I was expecting and the views and location are second to none! I arrived after sun set and awoke to the most stunning views imaginable! The home has 180 degree deck views and is just 1/4 mile for the boat launch to the Yellowstone River. The home itself is spacious, immaculately clean, well maintained and very comfortable. The ride to Livingston is just 15 minutes and Paradise Valley is the main entrance from the north to Yellowstone National Park, about 35 minutes drive. The owner, Art, has a friend about 200 yards away named Bill, who is the manager of the property and attends to everything in preparation for the visit and anything that come up during our stay. This was very reassuring given that I've stayed at places in remote areas and if something is not right when you arrive its disconcerting to not have a local contact. Bill was fabulous in welcoming us and making us feel comfortable! I would highly recommend this home for a long term or short stay! Tf
