Casa Paraiso is the most beautiful home we have ever stayed in. The house was designed and furnished by a very talented architect. Everything about this home is first class, including the concierge, the chef, and the house keepers. The concierge even rushed us to the pharmacy when my 10 month old son had an allergic reaction to peanut butter! Perfect place to bring your family or for a kid free weekend with couples. We loved waking up every morning to gorgeous weather and the beautiful ocean as a backdrop to the house. All shops and restaurants are in walking distance as well. Couldn't imagine a more perfect vacation. Read more
Hi Stephanie, thank you for taking the time to write this review! It was great to host you and your family for your stay here at Villa Paraiso and we are so glad that you enjoyed the home so much. I am also glad that you have now discovered the peanut butter allergy! That was quite a scare for the little guy. We look forward to hosting you again soon! Best regards, Donielle.

We stayed for a full week in august and had an amazing time!! This was one of the first big trips that I took with my girlfriend with a bunch of friends and people that I knew before her...she was nervous, excited, anxious, and ready to meet everyone!(but did have a few reservations!) When we pulled in, we were greeted by the great staff and that helped her relax a good bit. The staff cannot be commended enough at how well they run the place and how accommodating they are to the guests. The house is located half way between Quepos and Manuel antonio and is perfectly situated to be able to go and see both. If you want to drive down to Quepos and go to El Gran Escape (little fishing restaurant) or the local liquor store, it only takes 10 minutes and is an easy drive! If you want to go to the beaches at Manuel antonio or to La Mariposa for a cocktail at happy hour it is easy as well and less than 10 minutes. (The rooftop pool at La Mariposa is great during happy hour and you can even see a group of monkeys that come to the local swim-up bar and hang out.)
The best part of the house is the view from the infinity pool and pool deck. There is nothing better than sitting on the sun-shelf in a chair and looking out over the expansive pacific ocean... it is absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny that the house was rented for that week. The house is perfectly situated in the neighborhood and was relatively secluded when we were there, there was no house within eyesight of the backyard and pool area. Also, the outdoor shower was a "must have" for our sandy and salty trips back from the beach.
It is also amazing how easy it is to go and do a day trip somewhere or an excursion. The staff handled all of that and made it so easy to sign up and pay for the trips. Not to mention, we had an awesome time with our three excursions that we did, all recommended by the staff: ATV tour, white water rafting, and a zip line canopy tour.
Greg, it was an absolute pleasure to have you and your girlfriend stay with us. We really enjoyed meeting you both and hope that you will come back and stay with us again soon. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We very much appreciate it and look forward to meeting again in the future. Thanks from the First Class Villas Team!!

A Little bit of Paradise~

The Villa Paraiso is most aptly named. The Spanish word for paradise, that's exactly what you think you've entered when you walk through the doors of this villa. Our party of 10 had an incredible time. The accommodations were first class. The house was elegant, yet very comfortable. Housekeeping took care of all the details, including our personal laundry, in a timely and very efficient manner. The highlight of our stay, besides the wonderful memories we made on our daughter's 30th birthday, was the food prepared with love each meal by our personal chef Klaus Thalau. First Class Villas is very lucky to have such a kind person and talented chef associated with it's properties. Our transportation too and from the airport was provided and arranged by our concierge, Dallas Boyd. If we needed something~they provided it.
All and all I would highly recommend this property or any of the others managed by First Class. I'm giving them 5 stars for everything. If they had a star chart for wildlife sightings, I'd give them another 5! We saw monkeys, toucans, hawks, sloths, and more colorful birds than you could ever imagine on or near this property. If you get the chance to go to Costa Rica, the Villa Paraiso in Quepos is as good as it gets.
Pura Vida at it's finest! Read more

Cr First Class Villas staff made our wedding preparation and actual event a smooth process. We were able to enjoy our families and friends and not worry about a single thing during the event. They have a trustworthy network of professionals, from John the photographer, who is fantastic, to house staff, hair and makeup stylist and of course Klaus the Chef who is amazing!!!
Everyone is very talented and committed to do the best they can to make your experience memorable and perfect. they make everything seem easy and things just happen without you having to ask.
The planning was smooth and easy, working with Donielle was enjoyable and we got what we asked and they exceeded expectations in the execution, the decorations were amazing, the service impeccable and the overall ambiance was cozy and friendly, so our guests enjoyed 100%
Working with Dallas was very pleasant, she accommodated last minute requests very effectively and once again, they have a solid network of people providing the same quality of service in the area so they can react to changes successfully. Dallas was there for the entire event and she made things happened seamlessly...we completely forgot about everything and felt as if we were at home...

Outstanding place for multi couples

Villa Paraiso was a great set up for a group of couples. Each room was separate with its own bath. The common space was perfect for all to gather --- inside or outside. Loved the floor plan and architecture. Make sure you get a private chef. Makes for a true luxury vacation.
We stayed at Casa Paraiso, for one week with 4 couples in July 2013. The house was fantastic. It was exactly as described and the pictures were accurate. The house was designed with several master bedrooms, so no one was left disappointed. The house was a 20 minute walk to Quepos, but you needed a car to get to the Manuel antonio beach. The best part was our concierge, Dallas, she happily and expertly, arranged our chef, drivers, retaurants and activities. The only disappointment would be that the house didn't have any screens on the doors, so the doors were closed or the bugs were in.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paraiso and cannot recommend this house more highly. What we liked best was the privacy and nature around the house, while we were somehow so close to everything the region had to offer. We never heard or saw other visitors while at the house, and it felt like it was just us around - which we loved. Yet, Quepos was just a few minutes drive away, Manual antonio National Park just ten minutes away, etc. The house grounds were beautifully kept, with lots of trees, flowers, etc. and this made us feel like we almost lived in the forest. The view from the deck was fantastic. We spent lots of time in the pool, surrounded by all the trees and birds. The house had all amenities you'd expect (and more) and was very thoughtfully designed and built. The main area was spectacular, and the five bedrooms too. We only had one small issue: the bedroom on top of the kitchen has sliding doors which open to the main room and which let sound through even when closed (obviously not an issue if people in the group all sleep at the same time). We loved all the wildlife we saw around the house: we saw a group of monkeys one day, and frogs, toucans and other colorful birds every day. The staff was friendly and professional (maid, groundskeeper, poolkeeper, etc.). Our chef Klaus was not only excellent, but super easy going and open to suggestions. We loved our first meal, and he cooked four dinners for us in the end.
Our family group consisted of a toddler, six 30-somethings and one grandmother. Our days were spent at Rainmaker (amazing wildlife and hanging bridges!), on the water (Tres Ninas) with a group of 10+ dolphins for 30min, surfing (with Dante's Water Sports) and at Manuel antonio National Park. The night hikes at Fincas Naturals were amazing.
The house concierge Dallas was a pleasure to interact with both before and during our stay, and she made sure everything went super smoothly. Thank you to all for a wonderful vacation! Read more

We had an incredible experience at the First Class Villas, Casa Paraiso. The home is gorgeous and the pictures reflect the home's beauty. The staff is professional, organized, fun, and any time we needed anything, they were incredibly responsive (we had a blender go out and had a new one within a half hour!). They organized tours on our behalf (all of which were stellar), they clean your clothes and your rooms on a daily basis (except Sundays). You'll find the location conveniently located between Manuel antonio and Quepos, making getting places easy to deal with.
We even had a whole troop of squirrel monkeys visit us one day at around 4 pm.
The only negatives: towels were a bit harsh and the internet isn't 100% reliable, but really detachment is nice :)

My wife and I were wed at Casa Paraiso in august 2012. It couldn't have been a more stunning property -- architecturally interesting and incredibly luxurious. We had 10 guests staying in the house at two per room. Suites are separated via an open-air atrium, and individually climate controlled. The house is very large and spacious, and easily accommodated our ~30 person wedding. Highlights were the 75ft infinity pool, massive kitchen (that opens to the pool) and outdoor bar/grill. Management and concierge service were exceptional. Chef and catering services, albeit a major part of our visit, are not to miss. Travelers will need to be able to climb stairs to gain entry into the home, and upstairs suites (including master). We plan to return for our anniversary!

We had one of our most pleasurable and memorable stay at Casa Paraiso, Manuel antonio. The villa is architecturally beautiful - Every part of it is so beautifully designed and detailed - we thoroughly enjoyed the infinity pool with gorgeous views of the ocean and amazing views of the sunset. Our concierge Dallas Boyd was extremely helpful and organized. We had the services of a private chef - Eunice & Jamie to cook some wonderful meals for us. We would go definitely go back!

July 2010 -We've traveled to CR many times but never had as much fun as we had here. We traveled w/ 8 adults, 6 kids (4 families). The fabulous home had every amenity. 8500 sq ft of beautiful but livable decor. Infinity edge pool, deck/patio/outdoor kitchen area were perfect for outdoor fun, drinks and dining. 5 bdrms are en suite, each very private. The landscaping and view over CR rainforests and Pacific were amazing. Each morning green parrots in nearby trees. Monkeys each evening in trees over the pool. Kids went crazy. The house is set up for total relaxation and fun entertaining at the same time. Concierges, Donielle and Dallas made every day perfect. Transfers to/from the airport, rental cars, Zip-lines, ATV trip, waterfall & Manuel antonio hikes, Spa appts (they came to the house) and a fishing trip plus any request we had. All trips were w/in 45 min of La Reserva and we were picked up right at our door. The daily housekeeper was a blessing. When we returned from our activities, house was perfect and laundry was washed, folded and returned to each room. (Now that's a vacation!) Patricia, La Reserva's personal chef, prepared several dinners and a beach picnic. She prepared tuna caught on the fishing trip. A few hours out of the sea...mmm! The beach picnic was perfect after our hike. Patricia and crew met us on the beach with a complete picnic including tent, tables and tablecloths, tropical floral arrangements all while we played in amazing huge surf. Our trip was arranged by authentEscapes Travel out of Sarasota, FL Owners, Malaka and Ryan Hilton, were great to work with (and travel with). Our treks were spaced out so we didn't feel we were going all the time. Lots of time to relax by the pool or head down to the beach (7 min ride) for awesome surfing. We would most definitely stay at La Reserva again and recommend it to any one desiring luxurious accommodations while being close to all the nature that CR has to offer. Pura Vida!!

We were fortunate enough to be able to experience Casa Paraiso on our recent trip to Costa Rica. We had seen pictures, but they didn't prepare us for just how amazing this house is. This house was designed and decorated with such an attention to detail. All the unique touches, such as the custom made lighting fixtures, the chicharones pot made into a sink, and the local iron and tile used throughout the house make it a one-of-a-kind vacation rental.
This house has every feature you could ever need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We especially enjoyed the stereo system with touch-screen controls that allowed us to listen to our iPod while relaxing outside, and the sunshelf in the pool where we caught some rays while overlooking the ocean.
The staff at La Reserva is professional and accomodating. We were interested in massages during our stay, and they set everything up for us and we were able to enjoy a couple's massage on the deck.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Paraiso, and can't wait to tell our friends about it so we can all return some day very soon!

Our stay at Casa Paraiso was wonderful! We are a family of 4 with a 9-year old girl and an 11-year old boy. The home is absolutely beautiful - from the large bedrooms/baths, to the state-of-the art kitchen, to the infinity pool, to the backyard grill and bar setup...I could go on and on. The views of the jungle and ocean from just about every room in the house made it feel serene. I don't think it gets much better than this!
The service was extremely helpful and friendly. The on-site concierge and management helped to arrange tours...taxi pick-ups...and just provided general information and ideas about Costa Rica and where to go and what to do. We ended up stopping by to see them almost every day just to say hello. We had maid service each day, and she was wonderful. She cleaned the rooms/baths daily, did the laundry (including ours!), but worked in such a manner that we barely knew she was around.
We liked the location too. There were places to which you could walk to get something to eat, and it was a short taxi or car ride to the beach, restaurants, the spa, the park, etc. We ended up not getting a car, as we were able to easily get around via taxi and bus. If you choose to take the local bus, the bus stop was just up the street.
I would recommend the home to anyone staying in the area.
Thank you for your review! It was our pleasure to accommodate your family during this time and we are glad to hear you had a great vacation.
Best wishes, the La Reserva team!

Unbelievable vacation!! Second time in Costa Rica but first time at La Reserva and the amenities leave me speechless. The home itself is beautiful and the views are unforgetable. We received first class treatment with a 4-course dinner, amazingly delicious fresh fruit and homemade banana bread ready for our first cup of morning coffee, and a private treetop canopy tour that fit perfectly into our schedule. Everything was relaxing and a memory to keep for a lifetime! I'm hoping that the tres leches cake from our dinner follows me home for my birthday cake...yummmmo!
Nine of our family stayed at Casa Paraiso for 1 week (included 1 child, 2 adults in 50s, 6 adults ages 23-30)and loved the home. The house set up and bedrooms suited our party of nine well. The bedrooms are spread out so no one felt like they were too close together. Having our own plasma TVs in the bedrooms was great too. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes for us to cook for ourselves when desired. The infiniti pool and patio area was well designed and the view to "die for." I can't imagine what other amnenities would be needed there. You have an outside shower and a half bath right inside the house off the patio which was quite convenient when sunbathing and swimming.
The location was good to go into Manual Antonio and to Capos. We did not rent a car but with the concierge on duty every day she arranged our taxi service quickly and efficiently. Having the concierge available for our needs was perfect. She was right on top of our requests on a daily basis. Having a housekeeper too was great. Our laundry was done for us every day and the rooms were cleaned well.
We had a couple of entertaining evenings when the monkeys paid us a visit. The landscaping was beautiful and well designed with plants to attract butterflies right outside our patio area.
I could go on and on but would summarize it by saying that this was one of our most memorable trips as a family and our stay at Casa Paraiso was a big part of it. We could have just stayed at the house most of the time without our excursions and had a delightful time. The house was described well on the website we found out about it and the pictures were very accurate.
