“Wonderful. Relaxing.” This penthouse rental was better than expected. The photos do not do the space justice. I recently (Aug '13) traveled with a group of 9 everyone felt quite comfortable. We enjoyed having goregous views of the sunrise and beach.Phil and Evelyn were very accomodating in the planning process (nine people=tons of questions) they were extremely helpful and we greatly appreciated that. The rooms were a perfect size (even with three of us sharing a room, we did not feel as if we were on top of each other). The location is perfect; close to just about any and everything you could need while staying in Jaco, transportation/bus stop, supermarket, restaurants, and drug stores. Not to mention the apt is equipped with plenty to make you feel right at home. We did take a ride to Herradura beach (the sand was a bit softer than the sand on Jaco beach) which was no more than ten minutes but enjoyed the pool nearly every morning. The staff at Daystar were very friendly and helpful as well. In inquiring about certain activities, the ladies were very candid and spared us disappointment. I highly reccommend this unit.

“Paradise on the beach!” Great home on the beach! Loved that in less than 45 seconds I was at the pool and in yet another 15 seconds I was standing on the beach. I loved relaxing in the hammock that was strung between two palm trees; it doesn't get more relaxing than that! My 6 y/o son loved the pool so much we had to drag him out at sundown. The graduated "beach like" entrance into the pool made it very kid friendly. The poolside tiki bar was also fun for the adults to set up their own bar while relaxing in the pool. The house was fully stocked and was very comfortable. It is the perfect place for a family vacation and you cannot beat the price!

“Very Very nice and easy to communicate with and everything the a” My family and I stayed for 4 days and then asked for an additional 3 days, which we did get. The pool was wonderful, really big and had plenty of room. The wifi is not so great so don't expect it. Yes you can go to the lobby but still you have to sit outside. Plenty of internet cafe's around, but you are on vacation people let it go...Lol Great view and very clean, has laundry which is a must for a family and worked very well. Michael Cantor is a man of his word and that goes a long way when you are going out of the country with your family. We are planning on going back next year and will be staying at Michael's place again. Thank you...

“Best Vacation Ever” This was the perfect condo for our best vacation ever. We came as three couples and each couple had its own private room, bathroom and balcony. The design of the condo allows for a huge great room were we all gathered to discuss our daily events. The owner arranged to have his own private limo/guide pick us up from the airport. He also arrange free pedicures and manicures as well as nail art from a local Spa. It was the best my nails have ever looked in my entire life. When we arrived at the condo we were in awe of the beautiful condo and the breath taking views of the pacific ocean. The condo has an 20 foot mural of the ocean that you see when you first enter the unit. Your eyes then go from the mural to the most beautiful ocean view that my husband and I have ever seen. This unit was immaculately clean and decorated with luxury sculptures. The mattresses and linens were best we have ever slept on in all of our years of travel. During the mornings we would walk the beach, then each afternoon we did a local trip of either Zip-Linning, Fishing, ATV, or hiking. Then in the late afternoon the ladies went to the private pool as the men worked out in the private work out room. At night we went to some fabulous restaurants that the owner recommended and got a discount for us. Two nights we went out dancing to early in the morning. One thing we never missed was the sunsets from the balcony. The view from his balcony was spectacular. I would highly recommend you staying at this condo. We are coming back next year and this is the only place we will stay.

Excellent apartment and location

I booked this apartment for some relaxation after an action packed trip across Costa Rica and was impressed with every aspect of the accommodation,grounds and location. I booked apartment 3A because it was a ground floor room with easy access to the pool gardens and beach (note this is classed as a 1st floor apartment here but in English terms this means ground floor). The apartment was spacious and very clean with excellent AC and all of the basic home comforts required. The pool was great with no issues finding sun beds and best of all you could literally spit from the apartment to the beach which is separated from the complex by a single lane beach access road. The beach was never busy and swimming was great with only a very few surfers to avoid. The town can be accessed in less than 10 mins via beach or road and we enjoyed a number of local restaurants and bars. We visited during the busy Easter weekend and the access road did get a little hectic at times as locals look for places to park and camp on the beach which they also did opposite the apartments. This did mean that luck played some part in who your 'neighbours' were and at times the music was a little intrusive but friendly enough. Local police patrols keep any activity within reasonable boundaries and with 24 hour site security we generally felt the activity added to the character and atmosphere of the location more than it detracted from it. Families will love it

Costa Rica amazes us. Into the forest we found this luxury private estate. We are a large family group and felt in love immediately with this beautiful property. All the nature, the howler monkeys, the fruits, the scarlet macaws, the birds; our children learned so much, they discovered Mother Earth for the first time in Costa Rica. This property is so family friendly, it's SAFE, the manager is American and his wife is Costa Rican, they know the area very well and they understanded us(tourists), they gave us the best tips(hidden beaches, farmers markets, delicious bakeries) even reserved the nicest tours for all of us at not extra charge. Nearby we found a lot of local fruit stands, typical food and mini markets. Everything is there and helped us to avoid to much time on the road. It was truly the most exciting vacation that our 18 family members have ever taken. The large and comfortable nice houses in the property, the friendly manager and his wife, the surroundings, everything. I will recommend this place for large groups or families who are looking for more adventure than the boring all inclusive resorts. It was the vacation that my family will never forget. Awesome Place. Would Definitely stay here again

Place is huge. We went as a group of 8. The views were beautiful from all balconies/terrace. We used the grill one night to cook burgers. Living room/Dining area has plenty of open space where you don't feel like anyone is in the way. Showers have hot water and good pressure which is definitely a plus for me. Sound system was great as well. Pool table definitely was good to have during down time. Centrally located in Jaco Beach area with a beautiful view of the beach from the living room terrace . Wedding in Costa Rica

Rented entire property of 6 homes for our entire wedding guest of 24 people. Homes big enough to accommodate all comfortably. Homes were clean, John, manager assisted us in all that was needed even tho he was by himself. Siney, arranged our transportation and other needs professionally. Would be nice if she was on site. Grounds very big and nice that is was secured and private with gate. Would be nice if a golf cart available to rent as houses a bit far to walk for guest specially on day of wedding. This condo was spacious, it had everything we needed.The balcony was a favorite place to sit. I saw pairs of Macaws flying by every morning while i was having my coffee.
