The Barbizon (530 Ocean Drive, South Beach 33139) has long been one of the best Hotel Alternatives in South Beach and is perfectly located between 5th and 6th Street, right on Ocean Drive. Out the front door are the many restaurants, bars and people watching that makes South Beach one of the most desirable places to visit in the World. And just across the street is South Beach itself.

I was a little apprehensive at first to rent a room from a private owner, but the price was too good and based on the reviews i decided to go with it. I just came back from my stay here and i will literally never stay at a hotel again in south beach. The price was ridiculously good for the location and the owner Lee is extremely professional and was very prompt with responding back to my emails and answering his phone. The room was clean and he sent my deposit within a day of checking out. If you're thinking of staying at south beach and you want to get a good deal, definitely go with Lee because he has several types of properties that can work for small and large groups and he is definitely worthy of your trust and business. Thank you Lee, your professionalism and hospitality was very much appreciated!

I spent 4 nights at Lee's studio. It was my 3rd time in SoBe and i can say it's been the best place i stayed at. The reservation was very professional & very expedient. The condo was large, clean, quiet and had everything to feel like at home! I was also in touch with Lee's assistants, Alex and Eduardo, who gave me a very warm welcome when i arrived at the condo! Thanks! The studio's location is good too: besides the ocean, i was close to everything such as restaurants, bike rental, local transportation, Walgreens, stores, etc!

Thanks for a great 9 days stay on Ocean Beach in SoBe. This was exactly what I and my two sons (8th and 5th grade) wanted for location next to one of the best beaches in the us. Lee delivered exactly what he said in the profile and more. He made sure the arrangements were ready and provided all the things one needs for this great location stay. The condo was very clean and large for the three of use (easly twice/three times the space we would have received in a hotel). The transactions were always professional and very expedient. I and my two boys really enjoyed how everything was with walking distance to this condo (publix grocery, cvs, south point park, the beach (only 100 yards to the sand), the restuarants, plenty of shops, bike rental, pool, boardwalk, parking, and a gym). I was initially worried that it would be too much of a party atmosphere at night, but this place is located just at the start/end (great for an adult only vacation), and it's also in back of the condo tucked in a quiet location. The restaurants out front of the Barbizon had great staffs and good food. We'll definitely be back and have told all my friends and family it's a great spot for a beach vacation.

Thank you...The Barbizon is one of the very few Condominiums on Ocean Drive where "legal" short term vacation rentals are permitted...and unlike many properties in South Beach, this building is very well taken care of...and literally, in one of the best locations in South Beach.

The studio was great! I stayed at the Barbizon with 3 other friends for 4 nights and we loved it. The studio looks just like it does in the pictures - cozy & clean.
The location was great! Literally right across the street from the beach and a few blocks away from Wet Willie's. There's a Walgreens pharmacy right around the corner that's open 24 hours!!!
We didn't have a problem finding a place to eat because there are countless restaurants to choose from right on Ocean Drive.
The apartment had beach towels, chairs, umbrella and mat for us to use. Fresh towels and linens. A fully equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom. The studio had central air conditioning which worked great! That was very important during our stay because of the heat and humidity outside.
The check-in process was quick and easy thanks to alex & Lee!
I would definitely recommend my friends to stay here! -

The total experience with Lee was absolutely Fantastic. From the very beginning, Lee was always available by Phone or email, and responded very fast to all inquiries. Upon our arrival we were greated, given the key and shown the apartment. Seriously, everything you could possibly need or want is in the apartment. Even a thoughtful umbrella for the beach, which was greatly appreciated!!
The location is ideal if you came to party and have fun. Great building with lovely security officer downstairs too, he was always very polite!
The apartment is clean, taken care of and perfect for 2-3 people. I was there with my best friend and as 2 single girls. We always felt safe in the building, which is an important aspect of a fun vacation.
There is Publix not that far from the building, we walked ere but took a cub back, we were able to buy tons of food there and save some money by cooking in the apartment.
If you are looking to save some money for good shopping in Miami and want to enjoy all the fun things South Beach has to offer - this is a great choice, the proce was great for the convinience and service that we have received.
I think the only problem we did have was trying to figure out the way shower works, but once we did - it was Smooth Sailing.

My friend and I stayed here for a week for the Memorial day weekend. The studio was exactly how it looked on the pictures, very clean, and had everything we needed including the beach chairs to sit on the beach. It is in a great area and just steps away from great restaurants, bars, and the beach. I especially liked the fact that the hot water does not run out fast when there are multiple people using it. I absolutely loved my stay here and the owner was very helpful and easy to get in contact with. I will be staying here again for my next trip. Thank you so much!

Clean, safe, comfortable and seconds away from the beach and the glamour of Ocean Drive, Lee's apartment was the perfect homebase during my stay in South Beach! The location is absolutely fantastic, with scores of bars, clubs, and restaurants within walking distance. Everything in the unit was in good operating condition, and the property had security on site 24 hours. During the booking process, Lee was very helpful and answered all my questions thoroughly and in a very timely fashion. All in all, renting from Lee was a great experience and I'd definitely do it again.

the studio was spacious, clean , confortable,just the best we could get in the middle of ocean drive next to the beach, the stores and restaurants. The price was really good for what we got. I surely would advice this location to my friends being sure that they would love it and that there is nothing better for this price.

The rental is just like the pictures, very clean, it's directly across from the beach, and it's around half the price you would pay for a comparable hotel. I was a bit wary at first, but Lee was very prompt and professional from the beginning and I couldn't have found a better place or location. It's walking distance to everything, and the unit faces the away from the street so if you want to get some shut eye after a late night out it's possible. And the best review I can give a place--I'll definitely be back!

We stayed a week in this fantastic apartment. The location is great since it is in the beginning of Ocean drive and in front of the beach! Also the good thing is, that the apartment is in the back of the building and therefore silent during day and night!
The apartment is very well decorated and everything what you need is there ( including stuff to go to the beach). It really became our home during our stay. We had several visitors during and everybody was amazed by the condo, especially for the value we paid for it.
The owner ( Lee Baron) also made our stay great. He was very reliable and helpful for all our questions. He really made sure that we had a comfortable stay. Furthermore, we only needed to do a small deposit and this was refunded a day after our departure.
I would highly recommend to stay in this condo due to location, apartment facilities and the owner!

Thank you Ivo. This Apartment was just made available in late August and I'm sure others will feel the same way about it. What ever else one might stay about this place, one thing is for sure---it is a great value relative to comparable options on Ocean Drive-at a fraction of the cost of neighboring South Beach Hotels.
