This two bedroom property, just three miles from Ulverston, is able to sleep up to four people. This stone-built detached barn conversion in the beautiful, secluded hamlet of Pennington is located just three miles from the ancient market town of Ulverston. Lovingly restored, this fully renovated cottage offers high quality living space, with a spacious lounge with dining table and patio doors leading to beautiful gardens. There is also a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms – able to sleep four people - and two luxurious bathrooms.

Amenities: Electric central heating. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, T...V, DVD, CD/radio. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available. Ample off road parking. Spacious patio and garden with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Free range eggs available. Shop 3 miles, pubs 2 miles.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Situated on the beautiful Lake District Peninsula, the scattered hamlet of Pennington is set in an area of gentle hills and unspoiled countryside. The start of the Haematite and Cumbrian Way footpaths are close by, as are the twin pubs at Great Urswick Tarn – locally renowned for their fine ales and good food. Nearby Ulverston is an ancient market town, which still holds a street market every Thursday and Saturday. Today, this settlement is best known as a “festival town”, with events throughout the year, and as the birthplace of Stan Laurel. As a result, it is now home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world. Facilities there include a wide range of shops, pubs, and restaurants whilst all of the attractions of the National Park are within easy reach. Also close by is the Furness Coast, boasting sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  A lovely welcome pack of eggs and wine were tasters of a wonderful stay at woodbarn. Cottage was well equipped with lost of extras like stair gate, Dvds and games for kids. Dalton animal park our family's favourite location- very closeby. No tumble drier but clothes soon dried on clothes horse and clothes line provided. Would go back tomorrow and see the many sites not yet visited!
