It features 1 king bed in the master, 2 queen beds in the second bedroom, 1 queen in the 3rd and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living area. E1 sits poolside allowing for easy access in and out of the pool and the condo! The beach is just a few steps away and has a lovely swimmable beach and every water activity imaginable. The in-town location makes it easy to run out for anything you need - sunscreen, snacks, a cold beverage. Multiple restaurants within a very easy walking range.

We stayed in unit E1 for two weeks in February & March and it was absolutely perfect for me, my husband and my mother in law. This first floor condo was very accessible for my mother in law who has mobility issues yet it was very private, secure and luxurious. Unlike staying at a large resort, we had a private beach and access to 5th avenue for shopping, groceries and an assortment of 1/2 star to 5 star restaurants. We had freedom and peace of mind staying at Luna - after a beautiful day in the sun, Mom would settle in and read/watch tv while hubby and I would often go for a drink on 5th ave. The condo itself has a great layout, lots of space and privacy for everyone -- the beds were super-comfy. I disagree that the beds are uncomfortable nor did hear any water pump noise at all. The entire staff works to assure all guests satisfaction and the property is exceptionally well maintained. It was our first ever condo rental after many all-inclusive resorts and this is how we'll roll from now on. Special thanks to Tonya for making this our best trip ever.

This is a very nice condo and location, the best on the beach. The only problem is that you can't get any sleep due to water pump noise. There is a utility room directly underneath the condo and water pumps are repeatedly turning on with a whirring sound and then loudly turning off. This occurs all day and all night and makes it hard to sleep even with ear plugs. This combined with a rock hard bed made me happy to return home so I could get rested from my vacation.

My friend and I were completely knocked out when we walked into the condo complex. It is at least as beautiful as the photos. The location is the best in Playa del Carmen. Friendly and helpful staff. We took long walks in either direction on the beach and swam in the beautiful water as often as possible. Our condo was huge,nicely decorated and very clean. We loved walking out the sliding door to our little sitting area with about 10 steps to the pool. The other guests were very friendly and considerate.
I would highly recommend Playa Beach Condo to provide you with a great experience in Playa del Carmen. I'm hoping to go back soon. -

This was our third trip to Playa del Carmen in 6 years. By far the best location, views and accomodations we've had. The condos have sweeping views of the waterfront. Recent beach restoration has resulted in broadest, whitest, cleanest beach in front of this complex. We had two units, they were both spacious and comfortably decorated. The complex is well-kept, attractive, guarded and graciously managed by alberto and his staff who responded to every concern/request. The staff will help with everything from airport transport (highly recommended) to arranging for authentic Mexican meal prepared in your condo.
The location is convenient to everything in Playa. Fusion restaurant next door has great food and was favorite breakfast spot when we didn't want to cook.
We love this town with so much charm and so many things to do. Highlights of this trip: swimming with whale sharks, Jungle aTV to cenote and Xel-Ha. Traveling to Mexico means putting up with minor inconveniences that you don't find at first class us accomodations, tolerating solicitation from every shop owner on the street, and enduring incredible humidity in June. That all said, it is our family's favorite place to vacation. -

The Condo is in a perfect location right on the beach, with amazing views. For the most part, was very family friendly and pretty quiet after dark. The kids loved stepping off our patio and into the pool 5 steps later. Every staff person was friendly and helpful. There were several issues with the condo itself, and in general, it could use a few fixes. When things like the many lightbulbs out, the pilot light being out on the stove etc were brought to staffs attention, they were right on it. The biggest disappointment was that E-1's master bedroom did not have a sliding glass door to the patio like all other units. It was simply a glass wall, and we were not able to hear the waves from our bed, or feel the cool ocean breeze. :(

The pilot light on the stove requires a lighter as the guest instructions indicate - all you have to do is flick the bic that I keep in the condo.
We made a decision to keep our energy costs down and our hurricane safety up by installing glass in the master! -

Spent 7 days at Luna in unit E1(2 days) and C1(5 days). We r a family of 5...mom,dad,boy(13),girl(10),and girl(7)Both units were amazing and had different perks. Unit E1 was located on darker interior side. The room was quieter because it was away from beach and had a big screen tv with WII. We brought along 2 games which was perfect to get out of hot sun so as to not burn first few days. The last 5 days we moved across pool area to ocean front C1. Kids did not want to leave WII, but mom and dad could only think about oceanfront wrap around porch and unbelievable view. It was perfect! We watched fire show all 7 nights at restaurant next door called fusion.First 2 nights on beach and last 5 on our porch. Awesome.Had planned all kinds of day trips,but really sooo relaxing and awesome that we hung as a family most of the time.Day trip to akumal (took bus...cheap..then taxi home) which is stunning and amazing snorkling there...saw giant sea turtles and probably top 2 beaches we have ever been to...totally chill..different vibe. Must do. Took another day trip to Cozumel. Horrible experience! Water was brown like mud,people were rude and aggressive..went back to ferry to just cut our losses and had just missed ferry ,so we had to wait 2 hours...drag,but were with friends and laughed it off! The week was over before we knew it and would recommend Playa to anyone. Only major suggestion would be to stay away from south of 6th...that means when you leave the condo and go up Calle 6 Dont turn left on 6th. It is like going to the fair with pushy carnies. Everything u possibly could need is north and at the Mega or Walmart! Enjoy if you're going!

We want you to know what a fabulous time we had in Playa staying in Luna right on the beach! There never has been a better location, the beach was the best I have ever seen! We enjoyed dining in town every night, so many new and delicious restaurants to choose from ( La Parilla was a favorite). We also enjoyed the ability to cook a home made meal on the nights we did not want to venture out. Our favorite adventure was visiting Xel-Ha for the day, 30 minutes away with great snorkeling and tons of fun for the kids ( anyone want to cliff jump?). You can't beat the beach for sand castle building, great way to spend the day. This vacation was exactly what we were looking for: paradise in Playa! We look forward to a return visit! -

We stayed in E1 and the location was perfect, just walked out the door and you are right at the pool and you also have a nice view of the beach. Our friends stayed in C3 and E3, they had the rooftop decks and grills which was nice as well but not as accessible to the pool as the first floor condos. The beds were rock hard, but from previous experience in Mexico all beds are hard. I wish the unit was more equipt with cleaning supplies(broom/mops) we were unable to sweep the floors and the maids only came once and that was to take the towels and nothing else. We had a group of 8 in this unit and were left with 3 towels after they took them. the patio always had a small pool of water that we were unable to get rid of.
all in all the condos were nice and had the perfect location.
would we go again? Possibly, but would prefer the all inclusives only because going to the store and cooking got to be a pain. I would recommend you have the staff do your shopping for you so that it is ready when you get there, and have your meals planned out ahead of time and this will really help you out in the long run, as I found out the hard way. -

We did a lot of searching for the right place to stay in Playa. We had a party of 6 including some kids. Everything pointed us in the direction of Lune Encantada. We were picked-up from the airport and we were taken by WalMart on our way to the condo, we loaded up (Mega is better). When we first walked into the condo, the security guard was there to help us with our stuff... the first time you walk up the steps and see the view, it takes your breath away.
The condo and location is the best on the beach. We would tak walks up and down the street and there is no doubt in my mind. Also, its so close to the 5th avn. that is a blast at night. As for the condo, it had everything you could ever want in a place to stay. We were there 7 nights and we had it all... the aC kept the place cold and the whole place was well maintained. We alos met some of the owners there and they were great! There is no doubt that we will be going back... If you are looking for a place to stay in Playa, this is it! -

I'ts Official (O Fee sial) this place kicks but!!! Location is perfect, close to cozumel fairy, beutiful beaches and centered between Cancun and major must see ruins.
As for the condo itself, it's has everything you need and at a very reasonable price. Fully equipped kitchen and flatscreen tv made LA Laker playoff games enjoyable while nice poolside location made for a nice early morning dip. The warm Carribean Beach is just 150 to 200 beautiful white sanded feet away.
Service we recieved was excellent from the Security Guard (gated complex) to the Maid. All requests were answered. There's even a medic on site which unfortunately some one in our party had to use but was tended to immediately.
The beaches were my favorite and it always felt good to go back to a condo which after unpacking and establishing position, wished was our own. In fact that was the part I didn't like, having to pack up and go home!!
We can't wait to go back!! -

The condo was really nice anc had everything you need, plus a Walmart is about a 15 minute walk away. They provided purified water which was also a huge plus, except there were times when wed run out and had to ask the guy about 4 times before we finally got it refilled. We only used the cleaning service once and it was super cheap ($20 perday!) I was there with my friends for our college senior spring break and it was a perfect location right downtown for going out to restaurants and the bars at night and shopping during the day. Also, the beach was literally 10 feet from the door and the pool was 2 feet from our porch door (we were on the ground level which i highly recommend) the overall I would definately recommend this place and go back!

We stayed in E1 for one week in Feb.2010 All of the photos and reviews we had read and seen prior to arriving were very accurate. The entire complex was exactly what we expected. All of the staff were very helpful when we needed them. One of the reviews we read prior was regarding the comfort of the beds and we didn't think much of it, but I would have to agree, the beds are not at all what I am used to and could not get a good nights sleep. Everything else was wonderful aboiut the actual condo unit. Theeis was also very consistant amongst the other guests we spoke with during our stay. We'll be back (but please upgrade the beds)

My name is Amanda Freitag and I stayed at Luna Encantada E-1 for only 4 short days. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was like being at home but transplanted onto the Caribean Sea and into paradise. The condo was so beautiful and comfortable and Gloria in housekeeping was so hard working and attentive. Tonya was so helpful in making my trip possible and I am so grateful for her hospitality and flexibility. Being able to open the sliding doors and listen to the water and just step out to the pool or beach was such a great convenience. I also appreciated the security greatly. There presence was understated but I always knew they were there and felt safe always. I will come back to Luna Encantada for many years to come and hope to bring many family and friends so they can share in this wonderful experience.

We had a great time at the condo. The condo was beautiful and spacious. It was extremely clean and had the all the amenities needed. The staff were very helpful and cordial to us. The location was great, on the beach, close to shopping and restaurants. We travelled with three children and they had a great time too!! We will definitely be returning to this location. We would highly recommend this condo due to the easy access to the pool and the beach especially with children. You can drink your Pina Colodas and watch your children swim right from your patio.

This is a beautiful condo! The pictures on the website make the unit seem way smaller than it really is. The unit opens onto the patio, with the swimming pool and hot tub right there. Walk down to a secured gate to access the beach.
It is located within blocks of the "main drag" in PDC Fifth Avenue, and is walking distance to the Ferry Pier to Cozumel, WalMart, and tons of restaurants and bars. If you don't want to venture too far out, there are restaurants right next door! Fusion is located next to the condo unit and has beach access!
Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place to stay with all the amenities! -

The beds in the units were a very hard and uncomfortable. Horrible beds.
The seating around the main TV was very minimal. More comfortable couches needed.
Unit was very noisy. Constant noise from upstairs, couldnt sleep in.
Master shower leaks water out of shower door.
Drains in master sinks drain slow.
Glassware was very minimal.
Home was in a great location. Phone and internet access was excellent.

I am so sorry to hear that a guest had a less than wonderful experience! Especially in this condo that has been enjoyed by so many repeat guests over the years. We recently redecorated and had to order living area chairs, and are still awaiting delivery of one - so I apologize for that. The space just won't let us put in any more seating - sorry! You TV lovers will have to get a bit cozy. I was surprised by the noise complaint from upstairs - again, so sorry about that, not typical. I will have the staff immediately address the water issues and would have had that corrected during a cleaning if you had notified me while you were in the condo. As for the glassware - I swear there are little elves who move the glassware around from condo to condo! I had it restocked completely in October and will do so again today. Lastly, the beds --- I have personally slept in each and every bed in the condo and respectfully disagree that with the guest. We take every single review seriously and to heart. It is our aim to make every guest happy - it's much easier to do if the guest contacts us during their stay to let us know if something isn't right.

Great spot and great location - security always on hand and ready to help at any time - cleaning service was great also.
It really was a lovely spot; we had a great time it could not have been a better location if you want all the amenities. Great beach bars close by, shopping and great restaurants. The local's are so friendly, met some great people.
The condo was lovely but it was missing a few things and here is a list of what I think is needed - wine glasses, the glasses that were there were pretty crappy - should get some new glasses and there were no wine glasses at all, no kettle or tea pot,(some people like tea and do not drink coffee) the coffee maker very beat up and old (cheap); no plastic glasses for around the pool; no place mats, napkins or table cloth - some people do stay in for dinner; options - candles, beer can cozzies for around the pool; the ice maker didn't work-but you could get ice if you played around with it on the inside. I think someone should go through the place before each renter to check lights - there were a few burnt out ones' especially in the bathroom.
I know these things really do not make or break the vacation but for this kind of condo I think these items should be looked after.Response from Playa Beach Condo, LLC - 10/02/2009

The owner is there right now and is attending to the missing glassware and plastic glasses! I'm sure it is as mysterious to you as it is to us how all of them disappear rather regularly!
Our tea drinkers, including our daughter, find that the microwave does a mighty good job of heating water. I will also replace the table linens - wish you'd have told me or our onsite guest services manager about all of this, including the icemaker!
Just as a side note - we will not be providing candles as that is a fire hazard that we can't risk. -

Hola!! We stay at E-1 in Luna Encantada and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It all starts with Tonya she is such a pleasant person to deal with and extremely helpful. It all started with booking her unit. She answers all her emails/phone calls promptly and courteously. She provided a wealth of information about the area before arriving. We tried a lot of her recommendations and were not disappointed in any of them. The unit is beautiful, great location, is accessible and fully equipped. Even the staff at Luna Encantada were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back to E-1 again. Highly recommend it.

Everything about this unit was perfect. Starting with the professionalism of the management. The way the paperwork was handled really made us feel comfortable being that it is out of the country. The key system, Johnny the driver, and the front gate security were all top notch. Being poolside work perfect with the small children taking naps and still being able to lay in the sun and dip in the pool. Not one worry about security. The unit has high end furnishings and was very clean when we arrived. We did not cook in the unit but it has everything you would need if you wanted to. The pool has a hot tub that is the same temp as the pool and also doubles as a kiddie pool which worked out very nice. Could be the best location in Playa as well. All around this unit and complex was wonderful. Thanks again Tonya and we will be back.

Our family stayed in Playa Del Carmen, Luna Encantada for 2 weeks Dec 06, Jan 07. Like all real estate, location is the key. Luna Encantada has the greatest location. The Condo is beautiful with direct and easy access to pool and beach. Sunrises are amazing.
The most important part is, when we arrived the Condo did not have all of the kitchen ware we desired (I like to cook), we talked to Tonya and no problem, she asked us to go buy whatever we needed and she would reimburse us and she did. Now that is taking care of your clients! -

We have always loved Playa Del Carmen and finally the addition of some lovely condos has made it much more comfortable. Having a beautiful condo with a full kitchen, washer/dryer and all the other wonderful amenities of home I felt like I could stay forever. The Luna Encantada is in a perfect location. We had a three bedroom (E-1)it was beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, chairs sofa and a huge patio facing the beach. It had free wireless internet, cable TV, DVD player and much more. I would definately stay there again.

We have been staying in Playa Del Carmen for 10 years and this Condo was the best so far. The first floor unit is next to the pool and close to the beach. No stairs to climb. You are right on the beach and the pool is lovely. The pool is actually warm. Most pools in Playa are not. The condo itself is beautifully appointed. Fifth Avenue is one block away with the the restaurants and shops. You can walk for hours in the evening. We loved it!
