Description

The Crows Nest is a charming thatched end-of-terrace cottage perched above scenic Porlock Bay offering superb family accommodation with the added benefit of amazing sea views.

Downstairs, the sitting room features a huge inglenook fireplace with wood-burner, stone floors and exposed beams. The large dining room is a great family room which also provides the the perfect spot to relax with a book while enjoying the views across the bay. The kitchen adjoins the dining room and features many modern appliances for your convenience. There is also a downstairs toilet. On the first floor, the master bedroom enjoys a king-sized bed with en-suite shower room (shower and hand basin only). Bedrooms two and three have twin beds, and there is a family bathroom with bath, shower attachment, bidet and hand basin. Outside is a small private garden with wonderful views across the bay, plus private parking for two cars.

The Crows Nest kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven and ceramic hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. A washing machine and tumble dryer are situated in the downstairs cloakroom.

A television, DVD player and CD player is provided and wireless broadband is available throughout the property. A travel cot is available on request; please request it when booking so we can make sure it is present for your arrival.

Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The Crows Nest is fitted with central heating and there is also a wood burner in the sitting room; some kindling and one basket of logs will be provided in the cooler months. Additional logs can be purchased from the hardware shop in Porlock.

Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot. A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

Private off-road parking for two cars is available beside the property. The Crows Nest is accessed by a path (with steps) from a private drive beside the property, or via stone steps which lead directly onto the road below, both paths have gates.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (strictly a maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £25 will be added to your invoice. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

The Crows Nest is strictly non-smoking.
