Quiet, relaxing and wonderful retreat; with excellent hosts
This is our second year and hope to have many more. It's far from the high rises but so nice to not be staying there, and enjoy going there for a drink or game or whatever. Very nice hosts with small cabana that met all our needs. Liked everything the best.. unable to think of a 'liked least' item..

We loved our experience at aBB. Karin and Louis are great hosts. We look forward to a return visit. This location is off the tourist beat so a car is essential.
Boston
very pleasant
The kitchen was nicely outfitted, so breakfast and lunch were easy. Very thoughtful owners who took us out to dinner! The water really was right across the road, and the owners even provided snorkeling equipment. Parking was easy.

An absolute find!
If you want to get away from the resort area, this is the perfect spot. You're actually in a residential part of aruba most tourists never see. But at the same time, the beach and reef area is perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving with barely any crowds at all. Over our week stay, Karin & Louis were gracious hosts, not intrusive yet inviting at the same time. The first night we were there, they took us to a great seafood place that locals mostly go to. They also recommended a food truck (HiGuey) that is so local, it only lists items in Florins, the local currency. They are both natives and have great stories to tell about aruba. And as a bonus, they even pulled strings and got us tickets to a local jazz festival. As for the location itself, the cabin we got was no frills but had everything we needed - kitchen, shower, bedroom, living area, cable TV. They even gave us a cel phone (which we needed a couple of times) as a courtesy to call Karin. Their cat Jada wanders by in the yard. They have five dogs, too, but they are kept separate from the area you'll be hanging. They also provide free snorkel equipment, fins and lawn chairs. I'd recommend a rental car, though, since there isn't much in walking distance for tourists to see. If you are a couple and don't want to be in the pell-mell of lots of other tourists, I couldn't recommend a better place to go in aruba. And from a value standpoint, it's incredible.

Perfect Place! Exceeded my expections and great location!
My husband and I went with another couple. We each took a cabana and they were perfect. The kitchens were equipped with anything you’d need (coffee maker, wine glasses, etc.). We cooked at home a few times and ate outside in the candle lit courtyard! They cabanas were clean and had all the amenities (towels, bug spray, etc.) - truly perfect accommodations. Plus(!!) they had snorkel equipment and kayaks so we didn’t have to rent anything. Right across the street was a great snorkel location and down the road just a short 2 minute walk was a sandy beach and calm lagoon. It was a fantastic location. Our hosts, Karin and Louis were fantastic. They were attentive and helpful with suggestions on where to go. Great food suggestions from cheap local eats to high end dinning. Great vacation, we will definitely be back.
