Description
The Stable Block offers comfortable accommodation for couples seeking a luxurious getaway, just a stone's throw from beautiful Porlock Weir. This cottage boasts a fabulous bedroom from where you admire the wonderful views of the terrace, garden and Porlock Bay from the juliette balcony. The king-sized bed offers the additional comfort of a television - cunningly hidden in the foot of the bed that rises up at the push of a button! A modern bathroom is located next to the bedroom and has a shower over the bath and heated towel rail.
Downstairs an open-plan living and kitchen area provides a range of modern conveniences to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is a dining table for meals, although you may choose take advantage of the views and eat outdoors during the summer months.
The Stable Block kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven and ceramic hob. Other equipment includes cookware, toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. Note, the kitchen has recently been refitted (2020) and there is no washing machine. A television (with Netflix), DVD player and CD player is provided in the living room and wireless broadband is available throughout the property. A cot and/or high chair is available; please request them when booking so we can make sure they are present for your arrival.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The Stable Block has underfloor heating which is controlled by a thermostat and can be adjusted to suit your preferences. There is also a wood burner in the living area; kindling, matches and one basket of logs will be provided. Additional logs can be purchased from the hardware shop in Porlock.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot.
A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.
The Stable Block and The Coach House share a private garden. Secure off-road parking for one car is available directly outside the property, this courtyard is shared by The Stable Block and The Coach House (one parking space for each property).
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). A supplementary fee of £15 will be added to your invoice. Please do not allow you dogs on the furniture or upstairs and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.
The Stable Block is strictly non-smoking.
