Description from owner

Description

Cleady River Cottage, Kenmare is a newly extended and decorated traditional stone cottage set in a very quiet, peaceful and private riverside location with an open log fireplace and Wi-Fi. A new garden room has a stove fireplace and has Satellite television with Sky sports and a BOSE stereo where you can plug in your music and relax after a days sightseeing! The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of utensils and has everything you need to prepare a sumptuous evening meal, all you need are the ingredients and ability! The south facing patio area is a lovely place to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine and watch the sun going down in the evening. The nearest neighbour is hidden away behind our own mini forest so privacy is guaranteed and its therefore a very peaceful setting to enjoy your holiday. Set on nearly two acres of gardens the Cleady River flows to the rear of the site with a small waterfall creating the relaxing sound of water throughout your stay. The nearby town of Kenmare is within a five minute drive and is located on the world famous Ring of Kerry which is part of the Wild Atlantic Way. It is also well known as Ireland's gourmet capital with lots of restaurants to choose from and pubs which feature traditional Irish music. The scenery in the area is beautiful with coastal drives such as the world famous Ring of Kerry and the Iberia pennisula right on your doorstep. Killarney is a thirty minute drive and worth a visit to view Muckross House and gardens. The well known Gap of Dunloe can also easily be accessed for a trip on a traditional jaunting car (horse and cart!) and is also worth a visit during your stay.

Don't miss the view from Molls Gap over the Lakes of Killarney - about a 20 minute drive from the cottage!
