“A wonderful place to stay in” Garveys Holiday Cottage is a great place to stay in for a company of travellers, especially if you are interested in active tourism. The cottage has a central position in the gaeltacht, so that the distances from Dingle and from Dunquin are practically equal. It's absolutely ideal if you travel by car or by bike. If not, you just have to call a taxi from Dingle, where buses arrive. As a matter of fact, there's a shop in Ventry village, and that's very close. There are quite a lot of things to do around: boat trips to the Blasket islands, horse riding, trekking, wind surfing, even swimming, which is allowed in special places (in case you don't mind the temperature). If you are interested in Early Irish history, there are lots of sights around and also a small museum in some 100 metres. Anyway, you can get a full account of activities in the cottage. The cottage itself is tidy and has all the amenities one may need (including washing machine and dishwasher) - I don't rememder lacking something for the kitchen and the bathrooms were fully eqipped. And, last but not least, the hosts - Mr. and Mrs. Garvey - are very friendly and always ready to help if their help is needed. Those two weeks that my friends and I stayed there were a wonderful time, really!

“Breathtaking” Four adults wanting to have a magical holiday couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We enjoyed the opportunity to cook our own meals, have all the conveniences of home and enjoy the beach and country surroundings. Both Linda and Eileen were very welcoming and offered us the opportunity to feel completely at home in this self contained cottage. The cottage was comfortable and very clean. The view was breathtaking and the village of Cloghane/Brandon was peaceful in its surroundings yet active in its daily routine. There are many lovely surrounding villages, but you need to have access to transportation in order to visit them easily. Brandon Mountain Cottage is definitely a place to relax, enjoy the surroundings and meet friendly local people. It is on our list to return again.

“Cozy cottage stay” Staying at Suantra Cottages is an amazing way to explore the Dingle Peninsula. Not only is the cottage in a beautiful setting to easy access, but it is well stocked. We had stayed at some other cottage/apartment places during our stay that were lacking in most kitchen utensils and cooking pots/pans. We found everything we needed already in the kitchen when we arrived. Also, Phil is an amazing landlady. She forgot to leave us some firewood and peat, but she came over, taught us how to build a good fire and we had a grand conversation with her. If you plan on staying on the peninsula for more than two days, definitely try Suantra Cottages.

THE DISPENSARY, detached bungalow, en-suite bedroom, pet friendly, in Killeagh
Inch house
1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2
“The warmest welcome.” We crossed from England to Ireland, docking at 6pm. We had a 2 and a half hour drive ahead of us, but the directions were spot-on. Easy, traffic free roads. We arrived at the village at about 8.30pm, and the lady who owns The Dispensary was waiting outside to greet us. There are no shops in the tiny village of Inch, so she'd left us provisions for supper and breakfast, at no extra charge. Home made bread and jam, sausages, bacon, tea, juice. Too much to mention. The nearest shops, pubs etc are about 4 miles away in a busy village. And a more major town is a seaside town called Youghal, just 7 miles from our cottage. The Dispensary is the best equipped holiday place we've ever stayed in. Truely a home from home. Even foil, clingfilm, all your linen including towels and bedding. Outside there is a brand new shed which is a fully functioning utility room. Washing machine, ironing board, clothes airer. The owners are not intrusive, but you are welcome to knock on their door for any directions and advice. They really enjoy their letting project. This holiday is a perfect retreat for anyone wanting peace and tranquility in and idyllic setting. We went there as a base to sight-see around southern Ireland. We loved it, but some of the journeys were epic - for instance from Inch to Killarney was a 2 and a half hour drive, before you even start on the Ring of Kerry. But there were plenty of more local sights - Cork, Blarney Castle, Cobh and many beautiful seaside towns. Well worth a visit is The Mahon Falls with it's Magic and magnetic road - look at it on Youtube. This holiday let, The Dispensary at Inch, was perfect for us. More than perfect. I can't remember what price guide it was given, but I know that at the time I believed that it had been underrated.

“Great house and hospitality for awesome vacation!!” We stayed for a week in late February and had a fantastic time in Ireland. This house is the perfect location for touring the Irish countryside, Ring of Kerry, and Dingle Peninsula. We also visited the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, and several other locations in the area. The home was well equipped with full kitchen, beds, and linens. It was like coming home after a day of touring. Our rental lady greeted us with treats and was a pleasure to talk to and helped with things like grocery stores in the local area. Our kids loved looking out the windows at the sheep and ocean. It was a really pretty setting and would definitely stay again.

“Very special” Thank you for a wonderful week in your exceptional cottage. Perfect location, spotlessly clean, all the mod cons, everything thoughtfully taken care of - we are very grateful to you Kathleen for providing such a special place as our base for our family gathering. Would have posted sooner but just got back to Dubai! Very best wishes and hope to stay with you again.

“Great place to stay for families!” This was our first summer holiday with our 2 year old son and our hosts provided us with a cot and a high chair for him. We were happy to find that the place was safe (sturdy banister, switches for plugs and oven, boilers in separate rooms) for a - supervised - small child and can recommend it without reserve for families (Being only in three, we used of course not all rooms). The cottage is located in a beautiful spot and we really enjoyed the clean, breezy air and the great views of both the seaside and the surrounding mountains.

Stunning Luxury Beachside Home with Spectacular Views of Ocean and Dingle Bay!
Dingle house
6 bedrooms / 5 bathrooms / sleeps 14
“Arriving Home at Didean in Dingle” I recently stayed for a week with five friends in this comfortable and accommodating house in Dingle, Ireland. It is located within sight of the sea and is surrounded by a beautiful landscape with easy walks just outside the front door. The house supported the six of us with ease. It has a well-supplied kitchen that allowed us to cook gourmet meals and to serve them in a nice dining area with gorgeous views through large window walls. The house is big enough for a much larger group. Each couple in our group chose a room with ensuite bathroom. Activities in other parts of the house are nicely segregated from the bedrooms and everyone got a good night’s sleep. The place is marvelously quiet. We would definitely stay at this location again when we visit the Dingle peninsula.

“Fantastic views, great location” Stayed for 3 nights in april 2014, perfect accommodation for 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids, 1 toddler). Cottage is very well equipped. Beds were comfortable, nice showers, lovely sitting room upstairs with great views. Its the last house on the road so the view is uninterrupted over the beach/bay and mountains. Its possible to walk into Ballyferriter but we opted to drive. Great access to Slea Head area and about 20mins into Dingle. Hope I get to return in the summer and really make use of the wonderful beach on the doorstep.
