Suantra Self catering cottages located in Ballyferriter on the tip of the scenic Dingle Peninsula, Co Kerry, Ireland

3 STAR FAILTE IRELAND APPROVED 3 bedroom cottages are located in a spectacular part of Ireland at the very tip of Kerry's Dingle Peninsula in the Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) village of Ballyferriter, Co Kerry.

Overlooking lush green fields facing the vast Atlantic ocean, the cottages are both cosy and spacious with a modern kitchen, open turf fireplace and three bedrooms (one double bedroom; one bedroom with a double and a single bed (both rooms with timber floors), and one single bedroom) as well as a fully fitted bathroom. The cottages are situated in an enclosed large garden with direct views of Sybil Head, the three sisters and Mount Brandon. There is an outside seating area, a launderette and private parking. The cottages are at the foot of Cruach Marthain (mountain) which was the location of the village in David Lean's movie 'Ryans Daughter'. The cottages are within a 4 minutes walk of Clogher beach and a 10 minutes walk from the set of the Tom Cruise / Nicole Kidman movie 'Far and Away'.

A short five minutes drive from the cottages takes you to the Blasket Island centre, with the ferry to the Great Blasket Island only a few minutes further away. The town of Dingle / An Daingean is a 20 minute drive for shopping, restaurants or an evening out at the numerous pubs. The location of Suantra is simply breathtaking, its hard to imagine that places like this looks like it could be part of a movie set.

Meet by a very welcoming and friendly staff the fire was well lit, rooms heaters were on ,very toasty me my wife and son really enjoyed our 3 day stay slea head coastal drive and conner pass a must aquirium worth a vist in dingle, best day wedenday 12.00 for shark feeding plenty of good food and drink spots in dingle also a little diamond is paidi oshea`s on the slea head road the scenery in this area is vast not surprisingly a back drop for films like ryans daughter and far and away
