Fabulous location , couldn't fault anything . The welcoming gift of a box of chocolates was greatly appreciated.
We were three adults enjoying a short break in the Dingle Peninsula. Brandon Mountain Cottage was very comfortable and spotless throughout. Great attention to detail here. The kitchen was well fitted out and lots of throws and rugs ensured we were comfy on chilly evenings. The views from the house of Brandon Bay and the mountains beyond were spectacular. A lovely walk to the beach as well as a vigorous climb to the summit of nearby Mount Brandon, added to the joy of our stay. Linda was very helpful and made us feel very much at home.
Four adults wanting to have a magical holiday couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We enjoyed the opportunity to cook our own meals, have all the conveniences of home and enjoy the beach and country surroundings. Both Linda and Eileen were very welcoming and offered us the opportunity to feel completely at home in this self contained cottage. The cottage was comfortable and very clean. The view was breathtaking and the village of Cloghane/Brandon was peaceful in its surroundings yet active in its daily routine. There are many lovely surrounding villages, but you need to have access to transportation in order to visit them easily. Brandon Mountain Cottage is definitely a place to relax, enjoy the surroundings and meet friendly local people. It is on our list to return again.
“A relaxing home from home”
We agree with all the other reviewers. Linda has thought of everything one might want or need in a holiday rental, even small details like bedside clocks and cozy throws on the backs of the sofas. The cottage was SPOTLESS. It was wonderful to share our long weekend with our dogs - one sat for long periods in her bed by the bedroom window and gazed out over Brandon Bay! The views from every window are spectacular. The beach is close to the cottage and O'Donnell's pub in the village has great character, charm, good food and beer and good company. We look forward to returning here.
“Wonderful stay in the best part of Ireland”
My family of 3, with extended family and friends joining us stayed for nearly a week in Brandon Mountain Cottage. The cottage suited us perfectly, comfortable bedrooms, nice sitting room with a turf fire, and best of all were the views of the bay which we never tired of. Linda went out of her way to make our teenager feel at home and provided activities and suggestions that we all enjoyed. My teenager especially enjoyed jumping off the pier in Brandon. The setting is fantastic and we so enjoyed walking to the local beach and watching the extreme tides. I would highly recommend this place and hope I get to return to the Dingle Peninsula soon.
My husband, our dog and myself rent this house for a week every year and will continue to go back. The views are absolutely beautiful and there is a lovely big garden to enjoy it in. The house is nice and large and it has everything that you would need in it. There are three big bedrooms so plenty of room and the living room downstairs with comfy couches and a fireplace is perfect to relax in the evening. It's just ideal.
