“Spacious comfortable and great views”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2017

We stayed as a group of 10 people (6 adults 4 kids), kids stayed upstairs and adults downstairs which worked out very well. The house had plenty of room for all of us. There is a nice short walk down to the beach but climbing down from the road requires some sure footing. Dingle village is a short drive away and Taxi's weren't a problem even over the busy Easter Weekend. The house is warm and has a nice outdoor area. As a large group we found the 10am check-out put us under a lot of pressure considering the beds had to be stripped, and the check out instructions quite onerous.

Response from the owner We are so glad that you had a great stay Giuliano and thanks also for your positive comments in the guestbook too. Yes, it is great that Taxis are so readily available in this area, including minibuses for larger groups, which makes it very easy to get around for those who choose not to drive. Yes, it’s an easy short drive into Dingle and a very pleasant one too, for those who prefer to drive themselves. We pride ourselves on having the house looking absolutely perfect for our guests’ arrival (including welcome chocolates, wine and flowers) which all of our guests really appreciate. For such a large, spacious house as ours, in order to achieve this and like many other vacation rentals, we have check-out at 10am, which is a standard time for many holiday lets and we always ensure that our guests are fully aware of this and check-out instructions, when making their booking. We are delighted that all our guests to date have been happy with it, and testament to that is all our wonderful reviews on the site. It was really lovely meeting you all. Best wishes Niamh and Frank

“Perfect getaway in rural beautiful Ireland”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2015

This home is beautifully fitted in bedrooms, kitchen and bath with lots of room and wonderful feeling. I loved looking out at the field of sheep as I worked in the kitchen and it was so handy to have a full kitchen for meals with family and friends. In addition, it is a short drive from the town of Dingle and we enjoyed pubs, restaurants and shopping there, but really enjoyed the peace and quiet of "our home" in the country. Great walks, the ocean is visible from the house and only a few minutes walk to be on a secluded beautiful beach. I recommend it highly.

Response from the owner Thanks so much Joan...yes the beach down the lane certainly is beautiful and secluded and the walks near the ocean are so revitalizing and relaxing. We are glad that you enjoyed using the fully equipped, modern kitchen. Having lots of storage space and the extra utility room (and the 2 fridge freezers) is great for larger groups too. The house certainly does make for a very relaxing holiday location, all round. Many thanks again Joan Niamh and Frank

“Arriving Home at Didean in Dingle”

Reviewed 29 May 2015

I recently stayed for a week with five friends in this comfortable and accommodating house in Dingle, Ireland. It is located within sight of the sea and is surrounded by a beautiful landscape with easy walks just outside the front door. The house supported the six of us with ease. It has a well-supplied kitchen that allowed us to cook gourmet meals and to serve them in a nice dining area with gorgeous views through large window walls. The house is big enough for a much larger group. Each couple in our group chose a room with ensuite bathroom. Activities in other parts of the house are nicely segregated from the bedrooms and everyone got a good night’s sleep. The place is marvelously quiet. We would definitely stay at this location again when we visit the Dingle peninsula.

Response from the owner Thank you for your lovely review! Great to hear that you loved the peace and tranquillity here and the wonderful views through the large picture windows! Yes the kitchen is certainly a hit with all guests and the comfortable dining area too. It's a wonderful feature of the house to be inside and yet to be so connected to the dramatic beauty surrounding the house via the breath-taking views. We certainly look forward to welcoming you to Dingle again in the future. Thanks Niamh and Frank

“Fabulous house for a large group”

Reviewed 6 May 2015

Would definitely recommend this house for a large family getaway! 14 of us spent a fabulous 5 days here over the Easter holidays. The house is so comfortable and beautifully furnished that we felt right at home. It's in a perfect location being only 8mins drive from dingle and a stones throw from the beach and fabulous hill walking trails with incredible views over dingle bay. A house for young and old alike with bedrooms up and downstairs, a games room upstairs (which kept the kids busy in the evenings!) and a fabulous kitchen and living room to relax in and enjoy the views. Fantastic service at a great price. We'll be back!

Response from the owner Thanks for such wonderful positive feedback. Its great that you experienced how great this house is for large groups. Having the two separate lounges and spacious house really makes a wonderful difference for large groups to enjoy a really wonderful and relaxing holiday here! Thanks for your compliments also on the lovely furnishings. We think beautiful surroundings are key to a fabulous vacation home and we are so glad that you enjoyed them and felt at home! Thanks again Niamh and Frank

“A Welcome Reprieve”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2015

We could not have been happier with our stay at your wonderful home. After traveling for a few days prior, our family of 6 was ready for some down time and space to spread out. The house was in perfect condition, had everything we needed, and truly made us feel at home. We loved the location to the beach as well. Our youngest son was missing his dog at home and the neighborhood dog filled in nicely, escorting us to the beach each day. The skies cleared after the first day and we were treated to beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The sheep grazing in the back is not a sight that we see at home, and that was a treat as well. Thank you for the lovely accommodations and your hospitality.

Response from the owner Thanks Colleen! Yes the sunrises and sunsets here are truly amazing! Great to hear that you had everything you needed and that you felt so at home here. The beach being so close is certainly wonderful. The sheep grazing in the fields directly behind the house and on the mountain is a beautiful sight...Ireland at it's finest! Thanks again Niamh and Frank

“Perfect home in a perfect location.”

Reviewed 16 Mar 2015

This was a comfortable home filled with all the amenities. Beautiful views from the dining room windows. Perfect for our group of 10 mature adults. Room to be alone in if needed to read or watch TV. Kitchen well equipped for preparing meals. Everything spotless and cared for making our weeks stay warm, comfortable and convenient. Lovely neighbors to speak with, friendly dogs to walk with and pretty country lanes and a beach to walk to. Nothing could be better. Close enough to Dingle to drive to frequently and near all attractions and roads to get to them. A perfect week for us 10 friends. Owners were lovely to deal with it. Don't hesitate to book this home for a wonderful Dingle vacation.

Response from the owner Thanks so much Joan! Yes going in and out of Dingle from the house is so easy and it's great to have the space, tranquillity and comfort of the house, along with the wonderful views, to return to after adventuring around the Dingle Peninsula! Many guests say that they love just spending time here around the house, garden and beach - they find it so relaxing and beautiful! Thank you for your compliments on how the house is presented and on all the modern amenities. Guests certainly enjoy the large Jacuzzi bath after a long day out! We look forward to welcoming you back one day! Many thanks again Niamh and Frank

“Really Nice accommodations!”

Reviewed 16 Apr 2014

Niamh and Frank are so helpful and have such a lovely home. Very spacious and immaculate. Everything you need for a wonderful vacation. And you have the ocean view from the dining table, sheep and cows in the green pastures all around. Convenient to shopping, pubs, grocery, churches, etc. Short walk down the road to an awesome site on the coast.

“A really enjoyable and memorable family holiday”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The house itself is excellent, exceptioannly spacious, clean and well equipped. Niamh is a very good host, welcoming and providing everything that is needed when you arrive but giving you your space for the rest of the week. The house is warm and comfortable, with good sized bedrooms and beds and a great space upstairs. The two bedrooms and second snug living room was basically adopted by part of our group (3 adults and three younf boys) and they amde it very much theirs during the stay, which worked very well. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining area has lovely views out the the sea and hills behind. We also used the front living room a few times to watch films on a couple of the evenings with the kids. Nearby (as in less than 5 minutes walk) isn a beautiful small beach. We were there over the new year, when there was a storm, which was great fun! The waves on the beach were huge and we all got soaked from the spary rising up onto the road! Dingle itself was also really great on new years eve, with the fireworks down over the harbour. Other highlights were probably going to see the dolphin, the great pubs in dingle, the excellent cheese shop and the drives around the area, including around Slea Head, which is fantastic. Thanks to Niamh and her husband for a great stay and for keeping their house in great shape. Rob

“A wonderful home in a grand location equals a great vacation.”

Reviewed 20 Nov 2013

This recently built home is attractively comfortable with plenty of space & rooms, a most functional kitchen, an entertainment center and an extremely quiet, mostly rural neighborhood. But what brings this home to the top of places to rent is its location. This home gives one the feeling of being truly away from it all while being only a short distance from more urban entertainment. One minute you are standing on the back deck, watching sheep moving over the green high hills. A wee bit later you are strolling down a lane between traditional Irish hedges of wild rose and blackberry - heading for a lovely beach with a legendary rock formation. Then, a mere 15 or 20 minutes later, (unless the dairy cows block the way,) you can be in delightful Dingle faced with a myriad of choices for dining, shopping, touring, or even just drinking in any one of dozens of pubs. The owners are most responsive and very friendly people. We (and several of our friends) recommend this place highly.

“Dingle Delight”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2013

The pictures can't show just how lovely, new, and clean the home is. The 5 bedroom house was perfect for our group of 10. Everyone had their own space. The common area was the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is amazing! We had a hard time figuring out all the switches in the house at first but it was a minor inconvenience and turned out to be a bit of an adventure trying to figure out what they worked! The owners came through with all the extra necessities requested. The location was amazing and was convenient for exploring Dingle and several other nearby towns. Dingle has so much to offer as does the whole penninsula with many pubs and restaurants and natural beauty to explore. The Slea Head drive is a must, as is the Connor Pass. The Out of the Blue restuarant was the best food we've ever had. The shops and stores in Dingle and other towns were so much fun and everyone found lovely souveniers of their time in Ireland. O'Sullivan's Court House Pub was our favorite pub with great music and friendly staff. The Garden Cafe was our favorite breakfast stop. (but...once we found this place we didn't try others so they are probably very good as well). We never had a bad meal anywhere. The Muckross House and Torc falls in the Killarney National Park is also a must see. As are the Cliffs of Moher. I would recommend this place to any group of friends or family looking for a good home base to explore the west side of Ireland.

Response from the owner Dear Charles and Amy Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted that you had such a wonderful time! The great news is that the house now has a 6th bedroom added since you stayed. This new bedroom is the biggest one and like all the other bedrooms, is beautifully furnished and has wonderful views too. It was great meeting you all. Niamh and Frank
