Superbly equipped, 200 year old, stone-built cottage. VisitEngland 4 star rated. Sleeps 5 in comfort in a King, Double and a Single bedroom. Owners live locally. All beds are fitted with quality pocket-sprung mattress (medium firm) to ensure a good night's sleep - we have received many favourable comments on the comfort of the beds, both in reviews on this site and in our guestbook.

Comfortable sitting room with logburner, LG Smart TV with Now TV! available plus BluRay player with a good selection of DVDs, books and games.

A comprehensive range of quality crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils is provided (including top brands such as Le Corbusier and Sabatier), in line with our VisitEngland 4 star rating.

Our unrivalled spacious outdoor patio area with quality teak furniture and well-maintained front garden overlooking the dale (one of the best views in Tideswell!)

We aim to provide clean and comfortable accommodation with those added touches of luxury and attention to detail which make us stand out from the rest. Tideswell is a great place to visit and we want you to enjoy your time with us to the full, knowing you have somewhere special to return to at the end of each day and making for a truly memorable Peak District holiday.

Please inquire for rental rates which start from £55 per night (for a 7 night booking in low season). Short breaks (less than 7 nights) are available out of season (October - February, excluding school and public holidays), or as late availability bookings within 4 weeks of the start of the holiday.

PET POLICY

Up to two small- to medium-sized dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £25 for one or £40 for two. Payment should be made directly to the owner 4 weeks before the start of your stay.

Getting around

A car is recommended although previous guests have arrived via public transport and enjoyed a week's walking. Explore the beautiful limestone dales of the White Peak on foot, or the gritstone edges and moorland of the Dark Peak where it starts just 5 miles north-east. The spa town of Buxton, 7 miles away, has a challenging golf course. The buzzing cities of Sheffield and Manchester are just an hour's drive away, with great shopping at Meadowhall and the Trafford Centre. and there is a wealth of stately homes and visitors attractions on the doorstep. Alton Towers is a similar distance away, providing fun and thrills for all the family.

How do damage deposits work?

If Charles (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
