Description
The Mill House was once a working water mill, the downstairs double bedroom has a beautiful arched window where the mill wheel used to turn. The Mill House offers versatile accommodation for up to 6 guest - great for families or gatherings of friends with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The Mill House has been renovated throughout and redecorated to a high standard. The accommodation comprises a large kitchen-dining room downstairs and two bedrooms, one with a double bed with en-suite bathroom, and one with twin beds, plus family bathroom. Upstairs is the sitting room with wood-burner and the third bedroom (super-king bed, which can be made up as a twin on request) with en-suite. There is a paved courtyard to the rear of the house with a picnic bench provided. There is access to both the upper and lower levels of the property from the outside. Sleeps 6 people (plus cot) in 3 bedrooms Former mill that has been lovingly renovated into versatile holiday accommodation Light and spacious kitchen-dining room Upstairs sitting room with wood-burner for cosy evenings in One super-king double bed (zip-link) which can be made into a twin beds on request* One double bedroom and one twin bedroom downstairs Cot and highchair available Rural location and walking distance into Bampton Dogs welcome by prior arrangement (£10 supplement per dog) Wi-Fi, electricity and heating included Bed linen and towels provided Arrive from 4 pm Depart by 9.30 am *If you would like the super-king bed set up as twin beds, please add a note when making your online booking (or make your request at least 7 days prior to your arrival date). Up to 4 dogs are permitted by prior arrangement for a supplementary fee of £10 per dog, to cover cleaning costs. Strictly no smoking at The Mill House. The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 9.30 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.
The Mill House kitchen is well equipped with all new appliances including fridge, freezer, oven & hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, cookware and a variety of kitchen utensils. A television (with freeview) and DVD player are situated in the sitting room. Wifi is installed in the property. A cot and high chair are available, please request these items when booking so we can make sure they are ready for your arrival. Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The property benefits from central heating in the form of underfloor heating in the kitchen-dining room and in the downstairs bathroom, and radiators in the bedrooms and sitting room. There is also a feature wood-burner in the sitting room; one basket of logs and some kindling will be left in to get you started, further supplies can be purchased locally. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits will be provided for your arrival, so you can have a hot drink before unpacking the car. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher powder and a kitchen cloth will be provided plus one or two toilet rolls.
A paved courtyard area is situated to the rear of the property with a picnic bench. This area is not enclosed. Bampton is about a mile away via quiet country road, which makes it a gentle half hour walk or less than 5 minutes by car. There's a choice of pubs and restaurants to eat out in Bampton.

“Lovely cottage in a quite location within walking distance of the village”
Great cottage with everything you could need for your stay. Joy the owner went out of her way to look after us. The weather wasn’t too good but it didn’t stop us getting out and about and enjoying ourselves. Great location for exploring Devon

“Brilliant base!”
This cottage is more like a mansion - it’s huge! 3 beds and 3 bathrooms; massive kitchen diner and large lounge made this place a brilliant base to return to after a day out exploring the Devon coast. Would definitely stay here again.

“Wonderful Retreat”
Our friend discovered this cottage whilst searching the net! the cottage certainly came up trumps. We had a lovely time...Mill cottage catered for all our needs. It's brilliantly equipped and was extremely spacious. A car is a necessity as its tucked away, but it's in a great spot to cover exploring Devon and Exmoor. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and very comfy and the lounge was as spacious as the kitchen. All in all it was a very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Great communication between the owner Joy and myself. The weather was kind to us too. Will definitely visit again... we love it .....
