Description
This beautiful stone cottage was originally where the previous owner kept her pony and trap for transport in the 1880's and it has since been converted into a delightful detached holiday cottage. It is positioned on the edge of the owners large garden which used to form part of the old village school playground. The property offers holiday makers a peaceful, tranquil home-from-home.
Stable cottage is located in the village of Chadlington, which is set on the Northern slope of the Evenlode valley and just minutes away from the enchanting Wychwood forest. The former royal hunting ground. Designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, the village has a network of footpaths and bridleways just waiting to be explored.
It is a perfect base for exploring the many delights of the 'undiscovered Cotswolds' as well as visiting the well-known quintessential villages and towns such as Stow on the Wold, ,Bibury and Bourton on the Water for which the Cotswolds are renowned. The market towns of Witney,Burford and Chipping Norton are within easy reach, as is Woodstock home of Blenheim Palace and the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
There are many places of interest and attractions to see during your stay. The impressive Regency architecture of Cheltenham and the 'dreaming spires of Oxford' are a must, as is Warick castle, the finest medieval castle in England. Stratford on Avon is within easy reach the birthplace of William Shakespeare and of course the Royal Shakespeare Theatres.

“Perfect seclusion.”
Fabulous little cottage in the serene surrounding of the owners garden. Very welcoming and gracious owners. We had a great time with our two dogs,plenty of local walks if you don't fancy 9 mile treks. Close to everything we needed and an ideal base for the two weddings we had during the week.
