COMING JUNE 2018, AIR CONDITIONING at the CLIFF HOUSE!

Our average summer temperature is 78-85 during the day and 50-60 degrees at night. Due to the high elevation our home stays pretty cool in the summer. But we had some request for AC last summer, so we already hired the contractor. It is being installed this May.

Starting in the summer of 2016, The Famous Pecos River Cliff House will be available to travelers. The home has been a private residence for the last 12 years. We are now opening it up to the public and would love to share this hidden treasure with you!

The Cliff House is like nothing you have ever seen before. This custom adobe towers 50 feet over the Pecos River with breathtaking views of the river, dam, and canyon. We also have a 40-foot wide seasonal waterfall just off the back porch that is activated by snowmelt and monsoon rain from the higher mountains. 

Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the spectacular views from our patio before descending down a redwood staircase to 250 feet of beautiful, private river frontage with a large meadow that is ideal for camping. Fishing, picnicking, and bird watching our just a few of the many activities you and your family can enjoy. End your evening telling stories around the campfire (don't forget the marshmallows!) or simply enjoy the sounds of the river and nature in the canyon.

We have spared no expense in making the Cliff House comfortable, luxurious, and quaint.  The home is a custom Fred Klein adobe with an open floor plan, taking advantage of the breathtaking views out the back bay windows. Most of the home is hypoallergenic, with top of the line mattresses, linens & towels.     

We have wifi internet and a ROKU tv filled with tons of free movies on Netflix.  If you have a Hulu account, you can access even more movies.    

Even though we have only one bath, the room is very large with an oversized jacuzzi tub and a shower that doubles as a steam room. We have a Mr. Steamer system that will instantly relax you after a long day exploring the surrounding area.

The Pecos River Cliff House is a short 30 minute drive from Santa Fe, with many opportunities for sightseeing nearby in the beautiful National Forest. The entrance is right down the street from our home, where you can drive any direction you want. These roads are more easily traveled with four wheel drive automobiles.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Robin (the owner) a message.

If Robin (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
