Description

DG Ranch offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the great outdoors near Yosemite National Park. DG Ranch sits on 49 secluded acres, about 30 minutes away from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. You have your own private home right on the outskirts of Yosemite. The town of Oakhurst is a short 10 minute drive from our ranch with access to numerous restaurants, grocery stores, shops, banks, and activities. On the drive from DG Ranch to Yosemite, you will see the scenery of the incredible Sierra Nevada mountains as you make your way to the entrance of Yosemite National park.

DG Ranch is a single family residence that is meant to be a retreat for you. The history of our ranch started in 1959 when it was bought to be a Chinchilla farm, thoroughbred horse and cattle ranch. Our family was raised and has grown up at DG Ranch since 1979. In December 18, 2010, the original house that was built in 1963, burned down. However, we have built a new modern house with all the modern conveniences on the property and in August of 2012, our new house was completed.

DG Ranch has four bedrooms, including one master bedroom with a Queen bed and a futon that can comfortably fit two people and a private bathroom. The other 3 bedrooms have a queen bed as well, and a bathroom in the hallway. The living room includes woodburning fireplace as well as a large couch to fit all guests. There is no TV but plenty of beautiful windows to look out into nature. The kitchen is stocked with brand new appliances, a gas fireplace in the dining room, and a dining room table which seats 8, and 12 barstool seats at the counters in the kitchen. Also, in the kitchen area, there is a window seat filled with many board games and puzzles for your enjoyment. There is also a very large deck attached to the back of the house that you can sit on to enjoy the view, and even look at the creek right below the house. If you are looking for a place to party, this is not the place for you. Instead, this place is meant to be a restful retreat and a home away from home.
