This fabulous pet friendly Lakeland cottage is located in the village of Near Sawrey in the Lake District National Park and sleeps six people in three bedrooms.Anvil Cottage is a picture-perfect cottage located in Near Sawrey, opposite Beatrix Potter's Hill Top house. Sleeping 6 people in two double bedrooms and a family room, there's a family bathroom and a ground floor shower room, both with hand basin and WC. On the ground floor there's a charming lounge with multifuel burner and separate dining room plus a fully equipped kitchen and separate utility room. The fully enclosed garden is ideal for children and pets, and off-road parking for one car is provided. Located in the heart of the stunning Lake District, just 100 yards from an excellent pub/restaurant, Anvil Cottage is an ideal family holiday location at any time of year.

Amenities: Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

Oil fired central heating and multifuel burner.

Town: The village of Sawrey is situated two miles from Hawkshead down the eastern side of Esthwaite Water, overlooked by the woods and tarns of Claife Heights. Sawrey consists of two separate hamlets - Near Sawrey and Far Sawrey - both with a cluster of picturesque cottages, tea rooms and pubs. Near Sawrey is famous for Hill Top, the 17th century farmhouse where Beatrix Potter wrote her acclaimed children's stories.

We sincerely apologise that there was a lingering smell of the previous occupants dogs, our cleaners do take pride in their work and try their very best to air properties whilst cleaning during the changeover unfortunately despite the best efforts the smell of pets has not been totally eradicated prior to your arrival.
