Davenport, IowaWe couldnt have chosen a better place for our honeymoon!
Left on 05/06/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Jean and Harry were wonderful hosts for our 3 night stay here. They were easy to contact and gracious about our 10pm arrival when we picked up the key from Harry. They were easy to talk to and helpful but gave us plenty of privacy. The place was clean and ready for us when we arrived, and it included all of the basics we needed- bedding, towels, kitchen equipment, even coffee for the coffee maker, plus a bottle of wine and a special note of congratulations! The location was great too- we really enjoyed sipping coffee and relaxing on the deck in the mornings. We both really liked the feel of the neighborhood- definitely not touristy and a little run down- we were able to get a taste of life in Puerto Rico. We liked the grocery store down the street, which had everything we needed. And the beach was very close and hardly anyone else was there when we went. All in all, I highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing but out of the ordinary honeymoon.

Owner
Thanks for the awesome review. Guest like you and your new bride is the reason we have been awarded "Best Vacation Rental in Rincon" by FlipKey for the past 2 years. Harry and I are glad you liked the feel of our neighborhood and it is definitely not touristy. Our neighborhood Parcela Estella is known to be a prestigious sector of Rincon. There are some homes that are vacant and are in need of some repair and the lawns are not well manicured like ours. Homes like this can be found all over Rincon. However, you did get a taste of the real life in Puerto Rico.
We hope if you decide to come back to Rincon you will stay with us again. We enjoyed chatting with you and your wife and having you as our guest. Thanks for staying with us again. -

I did an exhaustive search of a place to stay for our surfing vacation in Rincon and could not have found a better place! It was the perfect size for the two of us and we had everything we needed. Jean and Harry were incredible host by recommending places to go in town, always making sure we had what we needed and being genuinely kind people. The out was spotless and the venting windows offered an outdoor feel inside. We loved "Cozy For Two" and did not want to leave. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Rincon!

My wife and I had a great time. I couldn't have asked for more. We walked to the beach every morning and evening to stroll around - it was never crowded and always seemed safe. The apt is in a great little neighborhood with a lot of activity which was fun to see. Rincon's hills are accessible by car and really fun to explore. Highly recommended. Harry was great, unfortunately we didn't get to meet Jean. Not a single complaint from us.

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at "Cozy for Two." We joked that it should be named "spacious for two" because it had everything we needed and was not at all cramped. We found it to be clean and welcoming thanks to its owners, Harry and Jean. There are many great restaurants in Rincon, but we took advantage of grill and outdoor eating area to cook and eat dinner under the stars on our final night there. I agree with previous reviewers that you will hear roosters crowing, but you will find that anywhere on the island. Would recommend to any couple enjoying a visit to Rincon.

Ray and I loved our stay at "Cozy for Two",our hosts Jean and Harry were perfect hosts, very attentive to every question we had. The house was perfect equipped with everything we could possibly want. We ate in every night having cocktails (made with the provided blender)& meals on our balcony enjoying lovely sunsets. The location great, 2min walk to Corcega Beach, Supermarket and local stores with walking distance and the most delicious empanada stand right on the corner. Thanks Jean for the great smoothie on the morning of our departure.
Looking foward to our next trip to Rincon.

This rental is a steal. The third story apartment has everything you need and more. We absolutely loved the deck with the outdoor kitchen, dinning area, and spent most of our time enjoying the views and weather. The neighborhood is peaceful and mostly quiet, with the exception of dogs, roosters, and occasional music, but you will get that anywhere on this side of the island. It will not deter you from enjoying your stay.
Jean and Harry were extremely accommodating and friendly. Jean is very easy to communicate with prior to arrival and she was very helpful during check in, providing a map and recommendations for around town. Harry is a friendly, bubbly guy with a great sense of humor. He was kind enough to shake avocados down from a nearby tree for us and shared lovely stories about the snorkeling and waterfalls available nearby.
The rental is clean, well-kept, and quipped with just about everything you'll need. Jean even let us borrow a blender and their snorkeling gear!
We had such a fantastic time at the Cozy for Two, and I highly recommend to any couple or small family looking for a cozy, fun, or romantic get away! Not only is the place great, but Jean and Harry really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and special. We will be returning.

Loved our stay here. This was the 2nd leg of our journey and it was awesome. My girlfriend said she felt really safe, we participated in a neighborhood baseball game/block party, they have the best empanada stand down the street, and the best star fruit tree in their yard!! That's right people, right in the yard!! Jean & Harry were also a wealth of knowledge. They led us in the right direction that we wanted to be. Oh, Jean, I forgot to tell you, we found some crazy glass on another beach. I'll give you the details another time, though. If you're like us and not that into big resorts, this is the place for you. They were the most welcoming people without being overbearing. Wish I was still there.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Rincón for our needs and budget. Cozy for two is a little gem in this charming town. Jean was super friendly and helpful: she gave us some huge mangoes for breakfast, we had fresh beach towels every morning, advice on restaurants. The location was a bit difficult to find (we made the mistake of following our GPS directions and not Jean's; do follow her directions!) but after we got there it was a breeze to move around. The rental itself is very well equipped: ceiling fans, air conditioning (we didn't need it), microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, a small electric stove, gas grill outside, large shower, comfortable queen bed, sofa, tv, full size fridge, beach chairs and toys...
I would give it 5 stars, but I think some people would find the neighborhood a little too noisy for a vacation (the roosters and dogs may wake you up in the wee hours). Then again, it is a neighborhood, not a beach front strip full of hotel resorts. I personally think it adds to the charm of the place, but I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I would choose it again.Response from Jean & Harry Hopkins - 06/24/2012

Ana & Antonio, thanks for the great review and happy that you will choose to stay with us again. You two were super GREAT guest! During your stay there were two stray dogs running around the neighborhood which causes the other dogs to bark. The 2 strays now have homes. The roosters and the chickens we have no control over. They are a culture of Puerto Rico. The only place you would not hear them would be in a highrise with the windows closed and the AC running. Personally I had rather hear the roosters than the loud music as in some parts of Rincon.
Sorry I couldn't get you fresh fish so I made up to you with the lemon pie. Thanks again for staying with us. -

Left on 02/27/2012 for a stay in February 2012
My husband and I loved our stay at Cozy for Two. We have always wanted to stay on an island. We usually take at least one cruise a year but wanted something different. Sucsess!
This gave us the feel of staying right in the local neighborhood. Definatley different. Jean supplied everything we needed. The "treehouse" was spotless. Each day while we were out Jean would come up and empy our trash and tidy the place up. We also had clean bath and beach towels everday. Most of the days we spent at one of the local beaches whale watching, snorkeling, or just relaxing. The evenings we cooked in the treehouse. We enjoyed going to the local markets to see what we could find for dinner each night. We had all the basic kitchen items; toaster oven, electic burners, microwave, coffee maker, utensils with plates and cups and pans too. Outdoor kitchen was a great place to grill and cut up the juicy local pineapple! We would also buy things to pack lunches the next day. Jean let us use a cooler for the week~perfect! She also supplied us with beach chairs, and water noodles to float. Middle of the week Jean also changed our sheets and bedding. No need for a/c. We left the windows open and had a nice breeze all the time. We rented a car and we did use it everday. We were waken each morning by the neighborhood roosters crowing away. Lots of dogs barking too but that's all part of staying in the heart of the locals. Everyone was very nice and we felt welcome in Rincon. Thanks again Jean for being such a great hostess! -

Being on the top most floor the veranda/bbq area gets a cool breeze from the Caribbean Sea.
Jean and Harry were wonderful! They made sure that our stay was perfect. There were beach chairs, umbrellas and even coolers available for use free of charge. They gave the best advice and made sure that we had the greatest stay.
It's the perfect place to stay you want to get a good nights sleep.
They even surprised me with a birthday tropical flower arrangement. -

Cozy for Two couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us exactly the comfortable, private, relaxing experience we wanted. We arrived to find the apartment (the top floor above the super friendly and laid back owners' vacation house) bigger and brighter than expected. The place was cute and spotless, and stocked with thoughtful touches--blender, toaster, hot plate, coffee maker, full fridge--and everything we needed for the beach (cooler, chairs, floaties, umbrella, etc.). Though it had air conditioning, we were happy to be able to open all the storm windows and enjoy the breeze at night.
The apartment had a nice balcony for brunch overlooking the neighbors, and a lovely deck on the back for sunsets.
It's in the middle of a friendly, sleepy neighborhood; so it was a nice place to walk around and see people gathering in each others' yards. Walking distance to a good bakery, a nice bar, a small public beach, and the neighborhood softball field (where we watched several games from our beach chairs on Sunday).
Most of all, we were happy to have a place that felt like home, without the hassle of hotels or more commercial properties. My only hesitation in recommending the place is that I don't want it to be booked next time we get back there! -

Left on 11/12/2011 for a stay in November 2011
I have rented several vacation rentals by owner in the Usvi but this was my first non hotel experience in Puerto Rico. Jean and Harry, the owners, are very nice and accomodating. The studio unit is spacious for a studio/1bdrm. The rental is clean and has many amenities from kitchen / cooking items to beach chairs and towels. Jean provided coffee and fresh fruit as well as an avocado off from the tree in the yard upon my arrival. I am going to give you my honest opinion: Positives - 1) Lots of windows and natural light in the rental. 2) Clean bath towels and beach towel daily. 3) Beach is within walking distance at end of the street. 4) Owners are nice people. 5) Walking distance to shops and restaurants. 6) Their internet works great. Negatives - 1) 3rd floor with very low ceilings means that it gets quite hot inside and I do not like a/C. There is a window a/C unit and two wall mounted fans. I found the a/C just too noisy so I didn't use it and kept all the windows open. 2) The neighborhood is very noisy which is out of Harry and Jean's control. Be prepared to hear everything and anything at all hours of the day and night. Use the a/C or you probably won't sleep from the noise. 3) Jean and Harry have a pretty yard but the rental is located at the back of the property so you have to walk though the yard to access the steps to the rental. When it rains it is unpleasant to walk in the wet yard because there is not a stepping stone or cement path to walk on. For me this was roughing it but for others this may not be a big deal at all. 4) I could not get hot water for my showers it was barely luke warm but it ended up being ok since it was so warm in the rental anyway.

We had a wonderful stay at Cozy for Two. The place is a good size, especially with the two outdoor spaces (the deck with sink, bbq, and table, as well as the balcony with table off the dining area). It's beautifully decorated and clean! The kitchen was stocked with cooking appliances, a bag of Puerto Rican coffee(yum!), dishes/utensils, a fridge with orange juice, a platter of deli meats and cheeses. The combination of fans and aC made it comfortable for those of us not used to humidity, though there were many times when the ocean breeze was enough to cool you down. The location is within an easy 5 minute walk to a beautiful, uncrowded swimming beach. It's also close to supermarkets, bakeries and eateries. The owners, Harry and Jean, made us feel like family and were at our disposal for anything we needed. I loved that they had all kinds of beach equipment readily available from beach chairs to snorkel gear. They even washed and dried our swim suits and beach towels for us so they'd be ready for use the next day! All of these conveniences combined with the top-notch hospitality of Harry and Jean and you can't ask for a better way to spend a vacation in Puerto Rico.

Jean and Harry are the best... always available but never intrusive. We booked the Cozy for Two for our annual mother/daughter vacation based on the info on Tripadvisor. The unit looks exactly like the photos and is quite charming. Safety was a big factor for us. As Jean assured us we would, we felt totally safe walking in the neighborhood and traveling around Rincon. We enjoyed being so close to the beach (5 minute walk), the two outdoor decks, and having all the beach stuff supplied -- towels, chairs, snorkeling equipment, etc. This rental is part of a home in an actual neighborhood so we got a feel for what it might be like to live there. It can be noisy - roosters crowing, dogs barking, and occasional loud music. We turned the air conditioner on before going to bed and the noise wasn't a problem.

Enjoyed our stay at the "Penthouse Suite". One of the main reasons I chose Cozy for Two was that owners Jean and Harry supply all the necessities (beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, umbrella) making it sooo easy for a carefree vacation. (I vividly remember a vacation in Mexico where I spent a whole day riding around looking for chairs and umbrellas.) Also important to me was having knowledgeable people, as they are, to give you tips and advice as to what to do and where to go. Accommodations were completely adequate and extremely clean. We did not use the cooking facilities at all. Stairs to the unit could be a problem for some elderly people. Only complaint I can think of is the neighborhood, although interesting observing the local flavor, is noisy with dogs and roosters. We put the air on at night and this was not a problem.

The apartment had everything jean promised, shampoo, platter of cheeses and ham, fresh bread, and coffee. It was spotless!!! The place is very comfortable. They also had nice quality beach chairs. One afternoon when we got a rain storm, Harry arrived at our door with two umbrellas.
You will definitely want a car. Everything is very close, but it is fun to explore. I didn't remember reading that daily service was included in the room, but it was nice that our bathroom received fresh towels and things were tidied up when we were out during the day.
overall, it was the perfect place for us and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to any of my friends. -

We've been staying at cozy for two in Rinc?n from 31st December 2010 until 07th January 2011 and had a really relaxing week.
The place is very clean and cozy is the right word to describe it... and it's the greatest thing waking up in the morning, feeling the ocean breeze and the sun is shining.
Also we made use of the outdoor kitchen more than once and always had breakfast and dinner outside which was great!
Jean always was there when we needed something, also she helped us by giving recommendations about what to do or where to go.
The flat is just a 5mins walk from the beach and also supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, etc. aren't far.
The week we stayed there was the week of Three Kings Day which is bigger than Christmas for people in Puerto Rico. So every night there was a party in another house in the neighbourhood which was pretty cool.
We always had good music and the summer- and vacation-feeling was even better!
When you want to have a relaxing vacation away from home but still feel like home you should definitely go! Oh and I really recommend the starfruit tree :) Who can have fresh starfruits every day?! -

Cozy for Two's name is deceiving as it's way more than cozy it's actually much larger than any hotel room and way more comfortable. The back patio in addition to the side terrace facing down to the beach makes for a great place to spend your evenings and morning.
Jean couldn't have been more attentive and was actually waiting on her deck for us to arrive and waved hello to us as we were driving down the street. Jean was available when needed and always helpful but not so in your face that you felt uncomfortable. The deli plater was a great treat after a long trip and saved a stop for lunch after landing and got us to the beach that much quicker. The birthday cake was an even bigger surprise. Cozy for Two felt like staying with family and I hope to get back again soon. -

I found Cozy For Two by chance on the internet, and how lucky I was! I arrived late in the evening as a sole guest until my daughter joined me a few days later and Jean was waiting for me and was very welcoming. I immediately knew I had made an excellent choice. The deli tray, fresh bread, milk and juice in the fridge was much appreciated and the apartment had everything I could possibly need, was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Clean towels and beach towels were provided daily. Just check Jean's list of what is provided. I couldn't believe it when I returned one afternoon to find my washing done...on many an occasion! I felt safe and secure in Cozy for Two and Jean checked that all was well whenever she saw me. The walk through the garden to the apartment, which is part of Jean's home, was always fun, passing fruit trees, flowers and stopping to watch the little lizards scurry away. Cozy For Two is just perfect if you are a single traveller or a couple, close to lovely beaches, a variety of shops and food stores and only half an hour's drive from Mayaguez. Jean provides certain equipment for the beach, for example snorkelling gear and there is free Wi-Fi if you want to keep in touch. We loved listening to the tropical noises in the evening and waking to the dawn chorus of cock-a-doodle-doos! It really was perfect and if you never stay here, you will have missed something special! Thank you Jean.

Every morning she would greet us with a smile and give us information
on things we would interested in doing on our stay in P.R. She also
set up surfing lessons with a wonderful instructor and horseback riding
for us. The place itself is very cute, clean and yes cozy. We went to
the local bakery and market and make some really great meals from that place.
On her property there are fruit trees that she lets you pick fruit from and
the beach was so close that you could walk there in a matter of a few minutes.
The prices are very reasonable and to be able to meet a wonderful person like Jean
we would have paid more. We have been to P.R. before and stayed at the big hotels
and though they are nice, this was something we will always remember. We
are planning on returning to Jeans and Harry in april and staying in her larger
house. (She has one that sleeps 8) Believe me this place is well worth it and
you should give yourself the chance to stay in such a quaint place and meet such
a lovely lady.

Awesome, amazing place to stay while taking in the local culture. Jean and Harry's "Cozy for Two" is immaculately clean, spacious and comfortable. The stay was personalized with local warm bread, butter, orange juice, coffee, milk, sugar and a deli tray. We felt like we were home. How nice not to have to worry about these staples upon arrival. Jean provided fresh towels daily and garbage pick up. And imagine 2 blocks from a beautiful beach with use of a cooler and beach towels as well! And at night we sat on the veranda overlooking the beautiful view. We could go on and on because we had a wonderful time in Rincon, but Jean makes it special. Jean knows everyone in the area and shares a wealth of information. We are looking forward to our next trip.

Jean was absolutely amazing and was accommodating to our needs in so many ways!
Jean greeted us when we arrived at 4am in the morning due to flight delays. She was a gracious host and we were able to immediately relax and enjoy some yummy snacks that she prepared for us when we arrived.
The house was cute and quaint, and close to the beach. Waking up in the morning was breathtaking, overlooking the lush mountains on one side and view of the ocean on the other.
This place is highly recommended for a quick weekend getaway or long summer vacation.
I wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful house, amazing landscaping, and close to the beach. The view was beautiful, the mountains on one side and a glimpse of the ocean on the other. The bed was very comfortable and we greatly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was super clean and cozy. It was really nice to have fresh bread, juice, and water upon our arrival, provided by Jean and Harry. Rincon is a bit spread out so I would recommend having a car.

Returning to the same place 2 years later says everything about how much we love
this place! Harry & Jean are the best host and hostess of Rincon. They welcome you
with a warm greeting, big smiles and a comfortable, well-cared for home that feels
like your home-away-from-home. They always have a deli tray, coffee, juice and tea
waiting upon arrival. They recomend all the best places and will go out of their way to
accomodate you during your stay; even growing aloe in the garden for any guest who
gets a bit too much sun. Haha. I love that they provide the complimentary laundry
service, bath and beach towels changed daily, but the best thing is their beach room
downstairs. They allow guest to freely use beach chairs, coolers, scuba gear, Boogie
boards etc from this room and will share anything of the like to make your stay as
relaxing and enjoyable as possible. This makes for an easy vacation with kids too as
all the fun beach gear is there. Their neighborhood feels completely safe as does all
of Rincon. Since moving down from North Carolina after their retirement a few years
earlier, they have excelled at what they do because they love what they do and the
people they meet while doing it. They are gracious enough to simply offer directions
for one family and chat leisurely with the next family for an hour like old friends. The
cozy villa for 2 is warm, inviting, spacious and has great views. We recomend them to
all our friends and will return again in the future. We can't say enough about how
much we love it there especially with all that Rincon has to offer. Snorkeling,
horseback riding, surfing, swimming, diving, and some of the BEST restaurants we
have ever eaten in we have at our fingertips in Rincon. We even loved driving around
seeing all the views and the grand homes of the area. Rincon is truly a diamond in
the rough. I can't imagine staying anywhere else and getting such a bargain. Great
hosts iwith a great place with an affordable price. -

Where do I begin to describe our wonderful stay at Cozy for two? The pictures on the site do no justice to the beauty of the place and the surrounding neighborhood.
Jean and Harry were wonderful! They made sure that our stay was perfect. With ammenities befitting of a 5 star hotel (Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers free of charge?? You can not find that anywhere in the island) It was like staying with family, that spoil you and beckon to your every need without being obstrusive. They gave the best advice and made sure that we had the greatest stay.
I personally am a germ-phobe and all tiles and floorings were squeaky clean.
Thank you again for my birthday flower arrangement. I highly recommend Cozy for Two... Words can not really describe how perfect our stay was. We hope to be back soon.

Coming from NYC, we’re always looking for a relaxing beach vacation with
good local food and sight seeing perks. Cozy for Two fit the bill to a 'T'.
What can I say about Cozy for Two?
It's a bright light-filled place that we found both stylish and comfortable.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless.
The neighborhood is delightful and the beach is just down the street. We
loved waking up to the roosters crowing in the morning, making coffee in
the sunny dining/living room and drinking it out on the shady veranda.
The Wifi is free and dependable. There’s a TV with a DVD player and VCR
built in, so bring your Netflix DVDs.
The interior is well equipped with coffee pot, toaster oven and microwave.
Jean has supplied the little things that you need but don’t think of: cutting
boards, coffee, coffee filters, sugar, salt, pepper, full ice trays in the
freezer, etc.
We got fresh towels everyday, the thick plushy kind. It really is true that
you don’t need to pack your beach towels. I packed ours just in case, but
when we got there, Jean gave us nice, big, clean beach towels, so that I
never used ours.
Seriously, don’t bring yours, save the space in your luggage for coffee and
rum.
The outdoor kitchen was a joy to cook in. There’s a working gas grill! Try
to find that in a hotel. If you like to cook, there’s a lot of local produce to
work with, fresh fish, meat and poultry. Just ask Harry and Jean what you’re
looking for and they’ll point you in the right direction. There’s an Econo
Foods supermarket close by and a bakery down the street for fresh bread.
And here's the biggest reason why you should pick cozy for two: Jean,
Harry and Scooter were just the best hosts. It’s the best place to stay in
Rincon! -

Cozy for two was perfect, it has everything you would need and it's centrally located on a great swimming beach and a couple of local food and drink spots. For the surfers out there it's only 2 miles to 4 of Rincon's best surfing spots as well as awesome snorkeling. Jean and Harry are some of the nicest people around and any visit with them would be one of your best. I highly recommend staying we and we are already planning our next trip down.

Left on 03/24/2010 for a stay in March 2010
The most important thing I can say about our recent travel experience to Rincon, PR and specifically our stay at Cozy for Two is that it was exactly what I expected. That's not to say that there weren't a few surprises and certainly the exciting Puerto Rican driving was among them! What I mean is that whenever one books travel (particularly via the internet)there is always an inherent risk and a slight concern about what you might actually get. With Cozy for Two what you see is what you get. The house looks just like the pictures, every review on the website is spot on and Jean, Harry and Scooter are just as hospitable as everyone said they would be. I mean seriously, where else will you get your personal laundry done every day of your vacation??!! We are currently making plans for our next Puerto Rican getaway...hopefully we will bring back enough crazy Midwesterners to get to stay in "the big house" downstairs!

Metro Detroit Area, MIGREAT SPOT, VERY CLEAN, NICE HOSPITALITY
Left on 03/03/2010 for a stay in February 2010
My wife and I stayed with Harry and Jean for about a week last month. We really enjoyed our stay. My wife commented at how clean the unit (especially compared to another we stayed at on the east side of PR). The location is convenient, in a little residential neighborhood, safe, but not the prettiest area with a variety of chickens and dogs that do make a bit of noise, especially in the early AM. We just closed the windows and turned on the A/C and it worked out fine. The unit is very close to the beach (a 1-2 min. walk) and it's easy to drive from here to Domes or Sandy Beach or the lighthouse.
Jean and Harry are quite friendly and knowledgeable. They pointed us to restaurants, etc. that they thought might interest us. The room is reasonably priced and, as I mentioned, VERY clean and well equipped.
We would recommend to any who are interested in a clean, affordable villa in the heart of Rincon. -

Cozy for Two had everything promised and more. From the moment that we arrived Jean, Harry and their son did everything that they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They shared their knowledge of the area and showed a real concern for our enjoyment of Rincon.
Our friends who were staying in a hotel continuously expressed amazement at the amenities that we enjoyed that they didn't--chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach towels were in our trunk as we visited the many beautiful area beaches. Arriving back after the day out to find that the clothes from the hamper had been washed, dried and folded was a real bonus.
Before we left we had a chance to see the 4 bedroom unit on the first floor which was beautiful. Like the top floor it was very well maintained and tastefully decorated. -

Jean and Harry went out of their way to make our visit to Rincon a great experience. We got in late on our arrival day and they had prepared a lovely plate of cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables and a beautiful loaf of wonderful fresh bread! To our pleasant surprise the dirty laundry we had been placing in the laundry basket was found hanging up on the clothes line completly and carefully washed and fresh! This made the burden of doing laundry upon our return less taxing. They were full of advice on places to visit and the best places to eat which provided us with something to look forward to exploring each day. They provided snorkeling equipment for our use so we did not have to rent it and they told us of the best places to go. We actually saw a sea turtle among a plethora of other beautiful tropical fish during one of our snorkeling excursions. The appartment is located less than a 5-minute walk from the beach which made evening strolls along the lovely public beach very convenient. There is a good sized grocery store just minutes from the appartment so it was nice to be able to have breakfast foods, some fruit and of course some cold beer on hand!

We had a wonderful time at cozy for two. The apartment was clean and had
everything we needed. The outside kitchen was our favorite part... It was beautiful to
be able to eat in the deck. Jean and Harry were perfect hosts. They had a deli tray
for us the first day and fresh towels prepared every morning. It was great to stay w
such friendly, helpful people. They gave us our space but were there with advice
when we needed them. The apartment was in town, not but a few minutes from the
popular surf breaks. Great value and perfect for our stay. -

I went to Rincon after a 3 night stay at the Rio Mar Beach Resort west of San Juan. It is beautiful and manicured. I felt a little out of place because I like to see the local culture, not other tourists. So I went on a drive and had a great time from R.Mar down to Guayama and back up 52 to R. Mar.
The trip to Rincon the following day was as beautiful a drive as I have ever been on. The scenery is gorgeous and so many different types of geology is shown, from the mountains to the fields and onto the beaches....breathtaking. I found myself stopping just to take photos and forgetting to do that...I would just sit in utter amazement at God's creation.
When I arrived at Rincon I found the guest house after a quick call to Jean narrowed it down, it was a simple to find. I remembered that they only take cash, checks and I had neither,,,,,the ATM's in town were down so I was in a pickle. I went back to the house depending on my faith in God to work things out,,,,He did, of course and the Jean and Harry said for me to go ahead and stay,,,just to mail a check when I got back home!!!!
Try that at any chain hotel!!!! You will be sleeping in your car,,,,hahaha
Anyway, I am not suggesting for everyone to use this method of payment,,hehe,,,,,I just wanted to give you a glimpse of the type of people who operate this property. It is more than that,,,I awoke to find a big pot of coffee waiting at my door! I had a star fruit right off the tree!
My time was way too short at the Hopkins', "Cozy for Two," Do not make the mistake I did and waste valuable time at another establishment,,get to Puerto Rico, and get to Rincon 'Cozy for Two" and then begin your explorations. You will never regret your decision. I hope to return as soon as possible...The apt. is beautiful! The people in the neighborhood are great.....Have fun...Go West! -

Cozy for Two is the perfect place to stay if you prefer to keep away from your typical hotel crowds. We chose this as our honeymoon spot and we're so glad we did! Accomodations were perfect! Jean & Harry are wonderful hosts! They were nice enough to let us spend a few nights in their Villa Sol, which was awesome! Both units were extremely clean and beautifully decorated. All you need to bring is your clothes, all else is provided for you. The area is great! Plenty of places to eat, beach is right down the block. It was truly a honeymoon in paradise...looking forward to returning next year to vacation with the family!

AWESOME!!!! My wife and I stayed in Harry and Jeans third floor escape for a total of 4 days 5 nights and the view from cozy for two is unbelievable. It was sunny almost every morning and in the afternoon we could look off the deck at the clouds rolling over mountains. Hardly any rain even during the peak of the rainy season. We loved our stay on the westside and have so many fond memories of our stay there at cozy for two.

Cozy for Two is a charming place. The apartment was very clean, well-furnished, comfortable, and quiet, and all of the facilities worked perfectly. The balcony with a view toward the beach was the perfect place for breakfast and lounging. The beach is within walking distance (easy to park too), and Jean and Harry have all of the necessary supplies and more. It was nice to have the option of finding any of the major chain stores and restaurants within 15-30 mins to the east on Highway 2 (nearby Mayaguez Mall is huge and just like home), while the route to the west offers local and roadside alternatives. Rincon Tropical was our favorite among the local restaurants, with delicious fish, octopus, and beef. There are also several supermarkets, banks, etc. nearby. Jean and Harry are very thoughtful hosts and took care of us very well. One of our trip's highlights was a local flea market they recommended. They also grow delicious avocados, passion fruit, and star fruit that we are still enjoying at home. We really did not want to leave!

I found the "Cozy for two" on craigslist originally
and initially I was a little skeptical. After
emailing Jean a few times we decided to go for it
Jean had me mail half the cost to them upfront with
a check and I was just hoping that it wasn't a
scam. But when we arrived and met Jean and Harry
we immediately knew these people were for real.
They were so kind and trustworthy and just made our
vacation the best vacation we have ever been on. I
would recommend this place to my own mother and
father. They made our stay so wonderful. They
were so helpful in helping find fun things to do
and get information about activities. The place
was spotless. It felt brand new it was so clean
and tidy. We loved having a kitchen to prepare
food while we were there. And the deck was just
awesome. And for what's out there, it was very
affordable and a great deal. We are dying to go
back to Puerto Rico and would definitely stay here
again. Staying at Jean and Harry's accomadations
was like staying with good close friends. In all
honesty we were completely surprised at how much we
